"Let's Play a Little Game"

Eli was aware of the dank stink of the room--metallic and earthy--before he even opened his eyes. As he jolted awake his hand patted the floor, finding only cold, grimy tile floor. He was shocked to find his well-built body nude stripped down to boxers. A fluorescent light buzzed above him. There wasn’t even a door; how the fuck had he gotten in this weird--no other word for it--cell, anyway? The only feature in the otherwise empty room was a small metal trap door. He kicked his heel into it, discovering in a painful instant just how solid it was. There was clearly a keyhole (he peered through, finding only darkness beyond) but even if he could unlock it, it was only four inches by four inches, barely enough to fit his hand through.
“Where the fuck am I?”
The muffled voice came from whatever lay beyond the wall to his left. Eli ran up to the yellowed stone and slapped his hands against it. One of the stones wiggled and he pressed against it. As it slid away his heart leapt; he was so disoriented, this hardly counted as “progress” but it alleviated his helplessness, even for a moment.
“Fuck, who the fuck is that?”
Eli peered through the hole in the wall to find a brutish face peering back at him. “Calm down!” Eli said. “I just woke up over here. No idea where I am either.”
The grim visage glaring at him was square-jawed with dark features. He backed away from the hole and Eli got a view of the rest of him. He was heavily muscled, wearing only a pair of white briefs.
“You look like you lift…” Eli began. “You lift, buddy?”
“The fuck do you care?” came the angry reply. The grimacing face reappeared at the hole, appraising Eli’s body in an instant. “Yeah, I lift. I’m a fucking bodybuilder.”
Eli nodded. “Yeah, I’m a physique guy. Do mostly modeling.”
“Figured,” the other guy barked back. “I can tell--tiny shoulders, no legs.”
Eli shook his head. “Look, the point is… I think this might be some kinda… I dunno, sex thing. Two guys with big muscles wake up in a cell?”
“Fuck!” the Italian said.
“What’s your name? I’m Eli.”
The big bodybuilder snorted. “I’m Ronnie.”
“Ronnie, is your room just like mine? Nothing but a little door in the floor?”
Ronnie looked around his “cell.”
“There’s a box… up on the ceiling. No door. And this.” Ronnie held up a small tape recorder. Eli stared at it.
“Uh… Bro, you gonna press play on that?”
Ronnie gritted his teeth. “Yeah, I was gonna, until you busted through the wall!” He squeezed the play button with thick thumb.
“Hello, Ronnie. For your whole life, your size has defined your existence. You make a living from being bigger than other men in every way. But today it’s time to learn that being big won’t get you out of this situation. We’re going to play a little game. You may find yourself too small to advance or too big to escape. Luckily, you and the man in the next room will be able to share size between you. Will you choose to be the biggest man at all costs? Or will you swallow your pride and give up your stature? Your choice determines your survival. Good luck.”
Eli listened intently, but Ronnie tossed the tape recorder after it finished.
“Fucking nonsense,” the man, scratching his pec as he pondered the confusing message. “‘Share size?’ What the fuck does that mean?”
While Ronnie grumbled, Eli struggled to work out the details. “You said the box is up by the ceiling? As in, you’re too small to reach?”
Ronnie nodded.
Eli smirked. The door on his side was too small for them to get through. He couldn’t see the solution yet, but things were starting to piece together.
“Touch my hand,” Eli said, extending his fingers through the hole.
“You fucking kidding me?” Ronnie barked. “How do I know you didn’t put me in here just so you could… I dunno… feel me up?”
Eli rolled his eyes. “If that was REALLY what I wanted,” he scoffed, “don’t you think there are easier ways I could get that done?”
Ronnie pondered the question, looking around his cell. Then reached a single finger toward Eli.
When they touched, Eli felt warm. Something between the men was electric--literally. He heard crackling in the air around him. Eli pulled--not with his muscles but with his mind--and felt something from Ronnie transfer to his body.
Eli’s body exploded with size. He yelped as his fingers got to big for the hole, yanking his hand back as it swelled, taking several more bricks with it. He stumbled backward, grunting under the pressure of his underwear, which was stretched to capacity. With a snap it popped off. Eli’s dick--much bigger than it had ever been before--flopped free.
Eli was taller (now, the ceiling was less than an arm’s length away) but his body had swollen with muscles as well. He couldn’t believe how powerfully built he had become! He flexed all of his size, cupped his mammoth pecs and flexed them, momentarily reveling in the feeling of having the muscles of a behemoth. His modeling career was over, but he would blow minds on the bodybuilding stage.
Through the formerly knee-height hole, a much smaller Ronnie peered through. Eli had to stoop to get a look into the next room now. Ronnie’s height seemed to have been halved and his limbs had all slimmed down. The little guy held up his briefs, the waistband now two times too big to fit his diminutive frame.
“What the hell?” Ronnie squeaked in a thin, reedy voice. “What’d you do to me?”
“Hold up,” Eli said, his voice now deep and booming. He examined the room. “That worked, but in the wrong way.”
“Hell yeah it did!” Ronnie chirped.
“No, I mean… you need to reach your box, right?” He stooped to the hole, extending a single finger--all he could fit through, now. “And my door is too small to get through, so… take my size.”
Ronnie, visibility pouting, grabbed the massive digit presented to him. When Eli felt the pull from the other man, his first instinct was to fight. Truly, all this size was intoxicating. But he finally let go, watching as the ceiling got further away, the hole between rooms seeming to expand as Ronnie’s little face rose up and away.
When it was over, Eli was now about three feet tall with the slim body of a swimmer. “Can you reach your box?” Eli said in a voice higher pitched than a child’s.
“Barely,” Ronnie barked. “There’s like… knobs on it. Like… my hands too big to turn them!”
Eli tried to squeeze through the whole but couldn’t get more than his arm and shoulder through. “Take more!” Eli said, reaching his hand through. Without hearing any more of the plan, Ronnie reached down. The briefs, which had been faintly tearing to bits before, exploded in a cloud of tiny shreds as Ronnie blew up and away. As Eli’s body shrank down further, he held tightly to the hole.
When the shrinking stopped, Eli was dangling from the hole in the wall like he was on the edge of a cliff. He pulled himself up and gazed over the edge. It looked to be hundreds of feet to the floor. Truly, the hole was as big as the room had been before he shrank. He estimated his new height to be somewhere around six inches.
“HOLY FUCK!” Ronnie roared. Eli peered into the next room, getting a good look for the first time. Ronnie was ENORMOUS, beating his hulking chest like he was king kong. As Eli examined the gigantic pile of muscle, his eyes stopped at the huge cock and balls swinging between the brute’s massive quads. Ronnie was bigger than any man Eli had ever seen before--far bigger than Eli had ever wanted to be. The tiny man shook as he saw how much Ronnie was riled up by his own size.
“Hey!” Eli said, his voice now just a little squeak. “We still have to get out of here!” He had to cup his hands over his mouth and project with all of his lungs just to be heard, especially over Ronnie’s deep, growling laughter.
“Oh,” he said. “I guess we do, don’t we?” Ronnie looked up at the box on the ceiling, giving it a few pokes. “It’s on hooks or something,” he said. With his massive fist he yanked it down, setting it on the floor. Then he put his fists on his hips, as if the rest was up to Eli.
“Uh… I’m gonna need a little help,” Eli said, pointing to the long drop before the ground. Ronnie chuckled and put his hand flat in front of the small hole in the wall. Eli tentatively stepped into it, but the muscular fingers instantly curled around him. Eli coughed as the fist clenched around him. “T-too… tight…” he groaned.
Ronnie just laughed, a rumble Eli felt through his whole body. “Jesus, you’re fucking tiny! If I just squeezed right now, you’d be pulp!”
Eli yelped as the fist grew tighter. Ronnier gave him a shake. Eli started to see stars. It was hard for him to take a breath. “Put me down!” he squeaked, but Ronnie either couldn’t hear him or pretended he couldn’t.
“Jesus christ,” Ronnie said, flexing an arm that was bigger around than Eli’s waist had been before he shrank. “I’m the biggest fucking man in the world… I should just squash you right now and just keep all this size! I’d win every competition in the world!”
“But… but…” Eli was starting to black out. “You’d… be trapped…”
“Damn,” Ronnie said, frowning at the realization. He opened his fist and dumped little Eli out on the floor. The rat-sized man lay there, gasping for air, until Ronnie nudged him with his foot. “Open the box, runt!”
Eli got to his feet, eyeing the giant musclehead cautiously as he approached the box. It seemed to be held shut by some sort of intricate interlocking mechanism. Turn the gears, Eli worked out as he studied the contraption, and the box unlocks. But the gears were so small, it took tiny hands to get it open.
“Pretty clever,” Eli said as he grabbed the small knob, like a tiny wheel to a bank vault, and started turning. “You have to be both small and big to solve this. There’s no way one of us could have done it alone.” Ronnie was too busy flexing and admiring his size.
“I wonder what I weigh?” he mused. “Gotta be over 600 pounds, easily.” He bounced his pecs and stomped a massive foot to the ground.
Realizing that the mechanism would snap back if Eli let go of the wheel, he struggled to hold it in place while shouting up to Ronnie. “Hey! Open the box! Hey, big guy! OPEN THE BOX!”
The enormous musclehead chuckled as he remembered the task at hand. With his index finger he flipped the top of the box, nudging it with his foot to open it. A tiny skeleton key--about as long as Eli was tall--bounced out, clinking across the floor.
Eli hoisted it up. “That’s it! Big enough for me to unlock the door back in the other room!”
“Wait--how am I gonna get back in there?” Ronnie said, glancing around as he worked things out.
“Well, you put me through,” Eli explained, “and then give me all your size until you’re small enough to fit through, then we do it again once we have the trapdoor open and one of us goes through!”
Ronnie clapped a huge hand down on Eli and the key, trapping him like a bug. “I don’t think so, little man. I’m going through first.”
Eli felt the pressure against him starting to increase. “You can’t do this!” Eli squeaked. “You squash me, you’re stuck here!”
The crushing hand eased up as Ronnie furrowed his brow, reassessing the situation. Then, in an instant, the giant seemed to vanish as Eli felt his head smack against the cement walls behind him as his feet slammed against the walls across the room.
Eli, now enormous and cramped in the tiny room, looked at the little speck of a man on his chest. Tiny Ronnie now grabbed the too-big key and heaved it up above his head, balancing it on his shoulders. Eli started to sit up, causing tiny Ronnie to topple down his pecs, bouncing across this abs.
“Sorry about that,” Eli boomed. When Ronnie had righted himself, he squeaked out something Eli couldn’t hear. He just had to assume, so he raised his pinkie finger to the tiny man. Ronnie, lugging the key alongside him, climbed atop the finger. Then Eli raised him to the hole. Ronnie disappeared through it.
“Wait, man,” Eli roared. “Don’t jump yet! You still have to let me shrink down too!” Hoping the self-absorbed imbecile wouldn’t doom him, Eli placed his finger against the tiny hole. He held his breath as he waited for tiny Ronnie to initiate contact.
He felt the tingle, then relief as the walls of the room pulled away from him. As he shrank, he kept his hand pressed against the hole until he was about normal-sized once again. Ronnie, back to the size they’d been when this all started, peered through at him.
“So wait,” he said. “When you’re tiny again, and you come in here, what are you going to do?”
“I’m gonna go through the door, then reach back through and shrink you so we can both get out of here,” Eli explained. God, why did he have to be trapped here with such a thick-brained lunk?
“Then I’m stuck tiny?” Ronnie said, shaking his head. “No fucking way. I go through first, then you can follow.”
Eli shrugged. “Honestly, dude, I just want to get out of this fucking place! Let’s at least get in the same room first.”
Ronnie held the little key against his chest, then poked his hand through the hole. Eli touched his hand, gasping at how quickly he shrank. A moment later he found himself clinging precariously to a finger as big as his whole body--but at least he was in the right room, with the key, even though Ronnie still held it.
“I don’t like this,” the enormous man boomed. “What if we get out of here and can’t change sizes anymore?”
Eli shrugged his now-scrawny shoulders. “Why would that happen? This is a game, right? We’re playing it by the rules. I’m assuming once we get out of here, we both grow back to normal size.”
“Maybe it’s a competition,” Ronnie suggested. “Maybe whoever goes through first gets away, but he stays small forever, and the guy stuck in here gets to be big but stays trapped.”
Eli sighed. “The only way we’ll know is if we go through that little door,” he said. “Let’s do rock paper scissors for it.”
Ronnie looked around, then shook his head. He tossed the key and Eli cringed, hearing it tinkle around the room. Luckily, it came to rest right near the locked trapdoor. Eli gazed down at the shining key--could he just run and grab it before the huge brute crushed him? As far as he knew, Ronnie was correct. But the big giant had already balled up his fist, preparing to compete for the right to go through the door.
“One… two…” the brute boomed.
“Shoot!” they said in tandem. Ronnie threw rock, just as Eli suspected he would. Eli’s paper won.
“Damnit!” the brute roared.
“Relax,” Eli said, grabbing the key. He looked to be about three inches tall now. The key, stood on its end, was a head taller. “I’m pretty sure we’re solving this puzzle correctly. Let me just unlock this door…” He slid the key into the lock, then groaned as he turned it. His heart leapt as he heard a click. Mechanisms below him started to grind and whir below him. Then, nothing.
“Is it unlocked?” Ronnie asked.
Eli slapped the metal panel, looking for a hinge or a handle--something that he could manipulate to open it. “Clearly the key did… something…” he surmised. When banging on the panel didn’t work, he stood and nudged it with the heel of his foot.
“You gotta bang it, I guess,” the 10-foot tall Ronnie boomed.
Eli looked up at the mountain of muscle, then down at the door beneath him. He couldn’t believe how scrawny he was now. Nevermind the fact that he was smaller than a soft dick; just a day before, he’d been modeling swimsuits! Now he looked like a plucked chicken, pale and reedy. At his normal size, he could probably have pounded the door open. At this size, he’d have to use his whole body.
Eli stood on the panel and jumped--once, twice. The panel opened suddenly, splitting in half and retracting. He gasped as he tumbled through it, but the fall was short. The room beyond was tiny--even at his small size, he could still feel the cool glass walls on just an arm’s length away--and cylindrical.
“It doesn’t go anywhere!” Eli shouted out the hole. He jumped but couldn’t reach the edges of the hole. “Ronnie, I’m stuck in this… glass tube!” he shouted out.
He saw Ronnie’s big eye peer into the tube. Everything shook as the giant man chuckled. “Perfect,” he said, producing a circular lid and attaching it to the cylinder Eli was trapped inside. As he screwed it on, Eli realized he was in a jar--but what was the point? Wasn’t this a game?
He squealed as the jar started to rise. Once he’d risen out of the floor, Eli realized the walls were transparent and the lid was attached to a large ring. Ronnie dangled the tiny jar in front of his face, chuckling as he poked it with his finger.
“You see,” the giant rumbled in a voice Eli could feel in his chest, “the size transfer is triggered by radiation released by the lights in our cells. But the thing is, you can’t take size--you can only give it. One of the peculiarities of the effect.”
Eli was almost as shocked by Ronnie’s suddenly erudite tone as he was by the fact that he was now dangling like an ornament on a keychain.
“And of course, you wouldn’t have just donated all this size to me on your own... thus, the complexity of the ruse. I almost felt sorry for you, until I saw the way you treated me when I was an imbecile.”
Eli’s eyes went wide as he realized that Ronnie--was that even his real name?--had orchestrated the entire thing. The massive hulk reached up and pressed at the ceiling. It opened easily. Eli couldn’t believe he had never even thought to try that!
“But don’t worry, little man,” Ronnie roared. He lowered Eli’s glass jar and slid the ring-handle around his dick. Eli’s eyes went wide as he realized he was going to be dangling from the dick of the most enormous man on Earth. “I’m going to take good care of you--until I get bored of you. But until then...”
As Ronnie stepped up and out of the room, Eli had to shield his eyes from the daylight. Outside their strange prison was a desert and a flatbed truck. Enormous ROnnie climbed onto the truck, which groaned beneath his bulk. “Gotta relieve some tension,” he boomed, and he started to beat his torpedo-sized dick as Eli, suddenly realizing he was going to be tiny forever, dangled below the massive cock, more helpless than he had ever felt in his entire life.
