James gnawed on the half ricecake he had been allotted before the show. He glanced around at the bodybuilders milling around backstage--pumping up with bands, touching up their tans and examining their amazing physiques in the mirrors.
The scale had read 148 pounds when James had officially weighed in that morning. He looked at his ripped physique in the mirror--”flawless” was what his coach had said to him after his check-in pics that morning--but couldn’t help feeling tiny next to some of the big gorillas ambling around in their tiny trunks behind him.
5’2” tall, James was known as the “Pint-Sized Powerhouse” at his gym. On leg day, his fellow gym-goers made way for him, knowing he would be squatting like a hydraulic piston, blasting massive amounts of weight with the ferocity of a man three times his size. Since he couldn’t grow up, he’d decided to grow sideways--and that obsession had culminated in his desire to do this bodybuilding competition. He’d been born for it, his coach had said. But still, looking around at these men who were more genetically gifted than he was, he felt inadequate.
“Progress Pic!” read the text from his coach, Ray. Since Ray couldn’t be backstage, James was sending photos every hour to monitor how that morning’s carbs were affecting his body so Ray could fine tune things before James stood before the judges. Ray took care to set up the camera, hit an abdominal thigh pose, and froze when he heard the camera snap.
But when he checked the photo, he saw that behind him was a looming beast--a man over a foot taller than he was, filling out every inch of the frame. James whirled around to see the monstrosity lumber toward the restrooms. The guy’s name was Terrell; James heard whispers of the big beast all morning. He was the favorite of the day, the superheavyweight freak who was destined for pro status. The rumors said that the big dark-skinned man was 6’5” and over 280 pounds tall!
James sent his photo to Ray, but couldn’t help feeling eclipsed by big Terrell. All of his accomplishments felt pointless. James slid his phone into his bag and headed toward the restroom, hating how he always had to get out of the way of the other men milling around--no one ever got out of his way.
The first stall in the restroom was occupied, so he chose the second. He squatted over the toilet carefully (so as to keep from ruining his spray tan) but as he knelt down, he noticed the dark, huge feet of the man in the next stall. James froze--overcome by a mixture of envy and admiration. He wanted to ask for the big guy’s autograph just as much as he wanted to lecture him about how some others didn’t have it so easy. James took a deep breath as the man in the next stall stood and started to leave the restroom--he was being ridiculous, he knew, and having a silent argument with someone he’d never even spoken to.
James was shocked when Terrell paused at the restroom door and twisted the deadbolt shut. Did he not realize he wasn’t alone? James held his breath as he watched the big, veiny feet stomp through the room--holy shit, he could actually feel all that weight shaking the floor!--before stopping at the mirrors.
“Yeah, big man, you’re a fucking monster,” Terrell purred at himself in his deep voice. James peered through the cracks in the door and saw the huge man in his purple posers flexing his massive body in the mirror. James hopped on the toilet--the last thing he wanted was to be discovered by Terrell now!
James surged with jealousy as he saw the big man take a step forward, so tall his heavily stuffed purple pouch rested on the sink. He couldn’t help but envy all of that enormous, smooth muscle. God, what must it have been like, James thought, to be that heavy? No one ever called Terrell “adorable,” James thought. No one ever patted him on the head. Even straight men lit up at the sight of a massive god like Terrell (the way James was at that moment!). God, what was the point in competing as a bodybuilder at his size when men like Terrell existed? It all seemed like a joke.
Terrell unzipped the fanny pack at his hip and slid out a small vaporizer. The huge man smirked at his reflection and winked as he placed the tip in his mouth and took a long pull. “No wonder he locked the door,” James thought, more determined than ever to avoid discovery.
Big Terrell grunted and flexed, gritting his teeth as a plume of vapor poured from his nostrils. Suddenly the big man grew even bigger! James couldn’t believe his eyes as he watched the big brute swell with sizes, his muscles filling up like he was getting a good pump, but the pump stayed. James thought he had to be imagining things, but a minute later, he was looking at a considerably bigger Terrell, easily thirty pounds heavier, an inch bigger on all sides.
Terrell replaced the vaporizer in his fanny pack, hit a mindblowing double biceps pose, and headed to the door. James’ mouth was dry when he was alone again; what the hell was in that vapor?
As James returned to the backstage area, he noticed Terrell posing for pictures with others. James wanted to run up and call the towering man out--how much of that size was thanks to whatever was in the vapor?--but then he noticed Terrell’s duffel bag against the wall. James casually walked over it, peeking across the room at Terrell who was basking in the adoration of the other competitors. The duffel bag was open.
James could see the fanny pack. He glanced back at Terrell, who was turned around, then snatched up the fanny pack and darted from the room. He was breathless when he got back to the bathroom. He retreated back to the stall, heart pounding, praying no one saw him. He clutched the fanny pack to his chest.
Someone’s coach came in to take a piss. James pulled his feet up on the toilet. When the man left, he walked slowly to the door and twisted the lock. Was he really about to do this?
James held the vaporizer to his mouth, closed his eyes, and took a puff. Good god! Whatever was in the smoke rushed through his body. He felt a warmth in his chest, a tingling in his fingers and toes. He was almost afraid to look, but as he opened his eyes, he watched as his compact, shredded muscles started to blossom.
James was thrilled as he watched his abdomen rise up and over the level of the sink, now fully in view of the mirrors. He let out the cloud of vapor in an anguished cough, shocked at what he saw: he was several inches taller and considerably heavier! He flexed his newfound muscles and turned around several times to explore his bigger body from every angle. “Why the fuck stop now?” he said, pleased to hear his voice had deepened slightly.
This time he pulled twice the amount of vapor as he inhaled. He felt the surge of energy, and thrilled as he saw his body start to extend up and out. His posing trunks were filled to the brim now--even his dick had grown bigger! His muscles were just as flawless before, but now they were much bigger. He had to be 5’9” now--no, maybe 5’10!”--but the men outside with the same height and weight would have paled in comparison to his flawless aesthetics.
James took another pull; it felt like he was reuniting with some long missing piece of himself. This size was his destiny, he knew as he rose up past 6’ in height, easily a hundred pounds heavier than he’d been since he’d entered the restroom. He searched the giant in the mirror for evidence of the man he’d once been--vaguely, in the face, a mild trace of the shredded little muscleguy he’d been remained, if he searched. He looked at his posers, stretched to capacity, then hit a lat spread that filled up the whole mirror.
He felt strong enough to flip a car. Why use doorways when he could just bash through walls? He hit an abdominal pose and felt his dick go rock hard at the shredded, veiny cobbled abs that crunched up like they were chiseled from marble. POP! The posing trunks finally snapped and his big cock and balls bobbed forth. Another pull from the vaporiser and he grew even bigger--fuck, was there a limit? Would he stop before he ever hit it?
Someone pounded on the door and James snapped out of his haze. He stared at his big body in the mirror; he was easily bigger than Terrell now, with a physique so flawless he knew the big man couldn’t compete. No longer was James going out as a lightweight! He’d be stepping on stage with Terrell now. The pounding on the door continued and James considered smashing through the door, just to shock the impudent little weakling on the other side into silence.
James was done apologizing, he thought as he took a deep breath and filled his massive new lungs, his gigantic pecs swelling with breath. Men would be terrified of him; they’d apologize just for sharing the same air! He couldn’t wait to open that door and stare down on the puny little weakling on the other side, watching the shrimp shake in his tiny trunks at the massive musclegod whose rage he’d provoked. Damn! James was ALIVE with power! He unlocked the door, almost ripping the handle off as he threw it open.
It was Terrell.
James couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of all that dark-skinned, veiny muscle--not ten minutes ago he had seethed with envy of that body, but now James was bigger! He rose to his full height and found himself looking down on Terrell. He threw back his shoulders and found himself just a little bit wider. He smirked at Terrell’s shiny purple trunks.
“Glad you showed up,” James said, holding up the tiny posers that had burst about a hundred pounds ago. “I need some posers that’ll fit before I go out on stage. I’ll take yours.”
Terrell sneered back at him, searching the room. “Where is it?” he said. “Fucking thief. You don’t know what you’re messing with!”
James grabbed Terrell by his big arms and yanked him into the bathroom, twisting the lock before hurling the huge bodybuilder into the stalls. The door burst under the weight and Terrell collapsed against the toilet, snapping the lid off as he struggled to regain his footing. James lunged at him and hit him hard in the chest, knocking him down. Terrell wheezed as he clutched his bruising pec, struggling to take a breath.
“Why don’t we have the posedown now?” James barked. “It’s pretty obvious which one of us is bigger!”
“Fucking… cheater…” Terrell wheezed, limping forward. James couldn’t help but laugh.
“Ha! I couldn’t have cheated without your help, you fuck!” James couldn’t believe how scrawny Terrell looked to him now--a 280 pound man looked SCRAWNY! He flexed all his mass, looking lovingly at his 25 inch arms and making his 32 inch quads wobble back and forth. He was so HUGE! Finally, all the size he deserved!
Terrell was crawling across the bathroom toward the sink. He was heading for the vaporizer sitting on the sink, no doubt. James stomped a huge foot down on Terrell’s rippling back, forcing the big man to the floor.
“You don’t know what you’re fucking with,” Terrell wheezed. “Too much too fast is no good… you’re gonna overdose, man… then you’ll be sorry!”
A thought occurred to James. He’d wondered what the limit of all this growth was--and what would happen when he met it, or exceeded it. There was one way he could find out, however.
James yanked the vaporizer of the sink, continuing to press down on Terrell with his big foot. Then, squatting over the helpless bodybuilder, James shoved the vaporizer into Terrell’s mouth and pinched his nose. “Let’s see what overdosing can do!” James said.
Terrell struggled, grabbing at James’ big arms, but couldn’t help but gasp in the vapor. His already huge body swelled even bigger. James thought for a moment that he’d made a mistake, as Terrell blew up so huge James started to rise off the ground. But just as Terrell gained the strength to throw James through the wall, his muscles swelled to the point where his limbs were inflexible. Terrell writhed on the floor like an upended turtle. James smirked at his creation. But he couldn’t just leave the enormous balloon of muscle there like that; he was too big to fit out the door! His traps and pecs were so swollen, he could barely move his head. He watched each supersized muscle twitch and flex, each bulge pressing against another. All that power and he couldn’t even move.
“Let’s see if we can’t get you to pop,” James said. The vapor seemed to have cast a fog over his brain. His thoughts all felt amped beyond belief, supercharged and frenetic. His envy of Terrell’s body had grown more than his own muscles had. James took a moment to survey the wriggling muscle blimp that nearly filled the whole bathroom before shoving the vaporiser back in Terrell’s mouth.
James’ eyes lit up as the enormous mass that Terrell had blown into swelled again--he braced himself for an explosion--but instead, the sound of a deflating balloon erupted from the massive man. Terrell’s overwhelming mass collapsed in on itself. It took only a moment, but when it was over, all of Terrell’s muscles had deflated.
James stared down at a thin black man, less than half the mass of James’ huge quad. Terrell looked down at his scrawny body and let out a shrill squeal. He stared up at James, whose huge body was casting a massive shadow over him. The skinny little runt leapt to his feet (out of his posers, which were far too big for his tiny body). With one hand over his tiny junk, he snatched for the vaporiser again, but James held it easily up and out of his reach.
“What are you now, 5’ tall?” James estimated. With one finger he poked at Terrell’s scrawny chest, and the delicately built man toppled backward with a moan. James yanked the purple trunks off the ground and held them to his face, breathing in the masculine funk that Terrell’s once-huge body had given off.
He clenched the fist holding the vaporiser, dumping the pulverized pieces into the sink Terrell yelped as he watched the bright blue fluid pouring down the drain, but James shoved him out of the way. “No!” Terrell squeaked. “It’ll wear off! You’ll get small again!”
James shrugged his mammoth shoulders. “Oh well,” he said. “I was happy with how I was before until I saw you. I think, as long as I’m bigger than you, I’ll be happy.” James pulled on Terrell’s posers, wincing as he pulled them up. “Oof,” he said. “These are a little snug. Those judges are going to get a hell of a show when I head out on stage!” He stomped to the bathroom door, well aware that every one of his footsteps made the bathroom shake.
