[Muscle Growth, Twinkification, Muscle Transfer]
Kris was shocked when Leonard barged in on him in the bathroom. “Sorry,” Kris said, brushing his teeth naked, his big junk swinging back and forth with every brush stroke. He shrugged his big shoulders as Leonard, his twin brother, rolled his eyes and backed out of the room. “Hey, man,” Kris said, toothpaste foaming around the sides of his mouth. “Not like it’s nothing you’ve never seen before! It’s literally exactly what you look like!”
“You could still put on some damned shorts!” Leonard called from down the hallway. “Hurry up! I’ve got to leave for work in half an hour.”
The two twins hadn’t shared a living space since they were in high school. Growing up, Leonard had been Kris’ best friend, but since going to college across the college from one another, they had each obviously grown up quite a bit.
Leonard walked into the kitchen with his briefcase, adjusting his tie and grabbing his morning smoothie from the fridge. He eyed Kris, who was still in sweatpants and a tank top, suspiciously. “So when does your day actually start?”
Kris shrugged. “No clients until noon. I’m gonna go in, get a nice shoulder pump, do a little light cardio, train a few people bing-bang-boom, then I’ll be back on the couch by 3.”
“Couch,” Leonard scoffed. He shook his head as he went for the door. “You realize your career as a personal trainer has way more to do with luck than with hard work. You’re lucky you have great genetics.”
Kris winked at his brother as he headed out. “You should know! They’re your genetics too!”
With Leonard gone, he finished his oatmeal and checked his phone. Two texts from his boyfriend Ron.
**How did it go?
**Or did you chicken out today?
Kris rolled his eyes. He clicked on the front-facing camera, flexed a big arm and stuck his tongue out. He sent the picture and slid the phone back in his sweatpants.
**Hot pic, but you’re avoiding the topic.
The idea of coming out to Leonard had seemed like no big deal until Leonard had actually moved his stuff in. Suddenly, telling his twin brother, whom he used to consider his best friend in the world, seemed incredibly difficult.
Clearly college and his professional life had turned Leonard, who used to be known as the “goofball” twin, had become straitlaced and laser-focused on his career. He went to bed at 9 PM every night, got up at 5 every morning and headed to the gym, where he went through the same rigorous routine (“90 seconds of training followed by 45 seconds of rest!” Leonard said the one day Kris tagged along with him to the gym. “You really should cut down your time between sets, bro!”), then ate the same breakfast (prepared the night before) and then headed to work.
Kris was pretty sure he saw Leonard set a timer the other day before jerking off.
“Why work harder when we look like this?” Kris pointed out. Despite the differences in their routines, the identical twins remained exactly that: 6’ tall, 240 pounds. Kris had played football in college while Leonard focused on school. Still, they both emerged with the same beefy linebacker build: broad shoulders, thick chests, a big ass and ripped abs. They both had the same problem buying pants with their thick legs and narrow waists. Leonard had his specially tailored; Kris just wore sweatpants.
He imagined what the “coming out” conversation would be like often. Leonard would point out that being happy and planning for the future weren’t always the same thing. He’d ask Kris if he’d pictured this from all sides, considered what it would do to their parents, for his professional opportunities, the idea of ever having a family or carrying on their line.
“No big deal, you can just carry on our line for us,” Kris imagined countering, but the entire conversation gave him anxiety.
Like most things that made him feel bad, he just avoided it. Ron was getting impatient, tired of dating a guy in the closet, but Kris would put it off just a little longer.
He chugged the remaining contents of his shaker bottle and jogged upstairs. He had an urge to jerk off himself--and unlike his brother, he wasn’t going to be limiting his time.
*
Kris got home from the gym to find the house dark. He hadn’t expected Leonard to be home, despite the fact it was their birthday. His brother probably had an all-nighter planned or some important client he had to take out to dinner or something. Kris wondered if Leonard told any of his coworkers it was his birthday at all. “I bet enjoying cake slows down productivity,” Kris thought.
He was shocked to find Leonard sitting in the kitchen with two cupcakes. Leonard extended a purple party hat to Kris as he walked in. Shocked, Kris pulled the elastic beneath his chin as he pulled it on.
“I didn’t think you were into birthdays anymore,” Kris said. He tossed his workout bag on the floor. Leonard cleared his throat. “Look, man, I just walked in the door.” He wanted to add that Ron, tired of waiting for Kris to come out to his family, had broken up with him that morning, but he didn’t have the capacity to even begin that conversation.
Leonard shook his head. He slid a cupcake toward Kris. The two identical twins, an identical mirror image except Leonard in glasses and professional attire while Kris wore contacts and his tight tank top and sweatpants, stared at each other. Leonard reached out and adjusted Kris’ crooked party hat.
“I had a surprise for you,” Leonard said with a smile. “I think I may have a job for you at our office. It’s entry-level, but trust me, there’s tons of room for growth. I can help you advance there, no problem.”
Kris blinked and looked down at his cupcake. He dipped a pinky in and tasted the purple frosting. “You know I don’t want to work in an office. Or wear a tie. Or advance up a corporate ladder. That’s your shit.” If only he could speak up about what was really bothering him. About his broken heart, about his regret about not speaking up sooner, about how distant he felt from the person who used to be his closest friend in the world.
“I know you’re losing clients,” Leonard said. “I mean, you’ve got a good look. If you put any effort into marketing yourself you could have triple the work you already do, but you just sort of coast through this like you do everything else. Imagine how big you could be if you put work in! Imagine how much you could achieve if you tapped into your potential?”
Kris smirked. “Bro, you do things your way and I do things my way. And look at us. We still look exactly the same. You’re probably not even going to eat your cupcake, are you? I’ll eat both, we’ll still both have the exact same abs. You bust your ass benching 225 for 15 reps every week. I go in and push up 355 for sets of five. And I could go heavier, I just don’t feel like it. Still, exact same pecs. Why the fuck would I change how I do things?”
Leonard pulled his party hat off and set it on the table. “You know, I can think of a dozen better ways I should have had this conversation. I wish a lot of things, Kris. I wish we’d never grown apart like we did. And I wish you could see the value of hard work. I wish your laziness had a tangible effect on your life. I really do.” He blew out his candle.
“Oh yeah? Well I wish the whole world could see you as the gigantic corporate asshole you are!” Kris said. He blew out his candle and aggressively took a bite of his cupcake. “I’m gonna go crank one out. And I’m not gonna use a timer, either!”
Kris slammed his door.

“Are you losing weight?”
Kris shrugged. He was trying to look anywhere but at Rob, who had assured him he’d cancelled his membership at OrcoFit and would be going to another gym now that they weren’t seeing each other anymore.
“Just as shredded as I’ve always been,” Kris said, rubbing his hands over his abdomen through his shirt, although he couldn’t escape the feeling that the hard ridges that were supposed to be there had softened a little.
Rob looked him up and down, then stood up straight and looked at the top of Kris’ head. He furrowed his brow and then gave Kris a little hug. “It’s just good to see you again. I hope things are going well for you.”
Kris smiled. He couldn’t escape the feeling that Rob, who he had always been bigger than, had thickened in the weeks since they’d broken up. “What, you on gear or something?” he said, looking at Rob’s broad chest and examining his arms. “Mr. Anti-Steroid finally compromises his values?”
Rob rolled his eyes. “Honestly, I’m the same as I ever was. But you… I mean, you’re sure you’re good? Work’s good?”
Kris wished he was anywhere else. “I’m doing great, bud. Just got a job. 9 to 5 thing. I’m done trying to make angry fat people look good. Great pay, lots of room for advancement… Better than ever, bud. Really.”
Rob looked at his phone, tapped a response to the text that had popped up, then smiled. “Look, it was… good to see you. I’m glad you’re doing well.” He leaned in for a hug, then stopped, and gave Kris and awkward hand shake.
“The fuck,” Kris mumbled to himself afterward, shaking his hand. Rob really pulverized it with his handshake--and his hands felt twice as thick as normal. “Guy’s gotta be on growth hormones or something.”

“...so once your mail’s all organized you just go floor by floor and deliver it. It’s really basic, to be honest. You seem like a smart guy.” Cliff, the skinny mail room manager, gave Kris a pat on the shoulder. “You’ll do awesome, really.”
Kris took a look at the rickety cart and the mindless job he was assigned. How was he supposed to stretch this out for a whole day, let alone five days a week?
“The trick,” Cliff said, leaning in and lowering his voice like he was sharing a secret, “is all in how you are when you deliver the mail. You gotta match the personality with the recipient. So like Jody, on the 3rd floor, she’s all about her cats and her baked goods. So be real bubbly with her. Jimmy, 5th floor, is a real grump. So eyes down, drop the mail, say ‘sir’--he’s ex-military--and keep on moving. Then Brett, top floor, he’s a big dude like your brother. So talk about gym stuff. You know gym guys. Dumbbells, protein shakes, ‘one rep max’--keep it like that and they’re always happy. Tell him he looks big. He loves that. You know big dudes like that.”
Kris furrowed his eyes at, “...like your brother.” He couldn’t deny that he had dropped weight recently, but he was still getting used to talk like this. Kris was the epitome of a gym guy and had been since his freshman year of high school when he started weighing chicken breast and doing workouts from Men’s Fitness. Then again, it wasn’t exactly obvious anymore, he thought as he looked down at his baggy white button-down shirt, the sleeves billowing over his thinner arms.
“Anyway, your brother wants to talk to you. He said he needs something.”
Cliff slapped Kris on the back and he winced. It was kind of hard. He tried not to be obvious as he rubbed the sore spot on the way to the elevator.
Leonard was seated behind his desk when Kris walked in. “What’s up brother! How is Cliff treating you downstairs? You liking things so far?”
Kris faked a smile and nodded. “Things are awesome,” he said. “Never better. I’ll have an office next to yours in no time!”
Leonard smiled. “That’s great! Sorry I haven’t seen you around the house lately. Been crazy busy here. Now that you’re here you can see how things get.” His face looked different, like his head was blockier. His jaw was wider, his forehead broader, like a caveman, but he was still as handsome as both twins always had been. “Look, embarrassing favor I need from you,” Leonard said. He motioned Kris to come closer, then stood up.
Leonard’s sleeves had burst open, his massive arms tearing the holes wider with every movement. “Ridiculous, hunh? And you said this keto diet wouldn’t do anything!” He flexed and arm, reducing the rest of his sleeve to bits.
“Jesus,” Kris said, eyes wide at arms that seemed twice the size they should have been. Leonard flexed a perfect peak, lined with thick veins. Their arms had never been that big!
“And worse,” Leonard said, stepping out from behind the desk. His quads had split the seams of his pants. Leonard turned around and bent at the waist, causing the seat of his pants to burst wide open. “This is ridiculous, isn’t it? Trained hard this morning, ate a big lunch… Been gaining weight like a pig, but all of it’s muscle.”
Kris nodded. “Yeah. I guess so.” He was noticeably looking up at his brother. His eyeline came to Leonard’s shoulder. He would have brought it up, but Leonard didn’t seem to think it was anything out of the ordinary.
“Anyway, can you grab me a new shirt and pants? I’ll give you my company card. Go huge. Give me something to grow into. I’ve been swelling like a balloon lately.”
Kris took the card and sighed, heading toward the elevator.
“Hey, brother, not to make you uncomfortable or anything but… those clothes are a little on the baggy side. I left the stuff I grew out of on your bed the other day. Why don’t you try that?”
Kris stared at the floor. He picked at the pants billowing around his legs. “These are the clothes you left me.” He walked quietly to the bedroom.

For the sixth day in a row Kris got to the gym at 5:30, smoothie already digesting. He swiped in with Leonard’s guest pass and headed to the stretching area.
Focused on the workout app on his phone, he bumped into what felt like a brick wall of human. If two strong arms hadn’t grabbed him and held him up, he would have ended up on the floor.
“Damn, dude! Watch where you’re going!” said a familiar voice.
Kris, still jostled by the collision, looked up at his former client, Tyler. “Jeez, bro, you’re getting huge! Wow, it’s good to see you!” It really was. Tyler had been a pain in the ass, but after Kris’ sabbatical from the gym, it was just nice to see some familiar faces again.
“Holy shit… Kris?” Tyler asked. “I didn’t realize you were… I mean I heard you got sick.” Tyler was about 6’5”. He’d had a surfer build when he was working with Kris, but now he had filled out some. Kris stared at Tyler’s added mass with admiration. He remembered having a body like that.
“You’re looking great, man!” Kris said, trying to tone down the thirsty edge to his voice. God, damn, had it been awhile since he’d been laid! “Yeah, I was kind of… sick, but I’m better now. Just here to put size back on.”
Tyler nodded. Kris could see Tyler quietly measuring Kris’ height, probably trying to figure out how Kris could have shrunk a whole foot in only a few months. Better to move on, Kris thought. “Well, good to see you. Leg day, gonna go squat some heavy weight!” (Lies: he was going to do bodyweight lunges and a couple plates on the leg press.)
“Dude, you should watch out. There’s this absolute fucking beast dominating the squat area. He’s huge and TERRIFYING. Kind of looks like you used to. I mean, uh…” Tyler clearly realized his problematic phrasing and failed to recover. “I mean, anyway, good to see you!”
Kris waved goodbye, then started stretching his hamstrings. Tyler wasn’t kidding. Somebody was grunting like a rhino. Maybe he would take a jog over there and get a look.
Kris thought back fondly to the days when he’d strut confidently by, hoping to get a phone number out of the deal, back when he weighed over 250 pounds. Now, a hundred pounds smaller, he had a passing fancy that maybe his tight shorts would show off his cute butt in just the right way to catch a guy looking for a tight bottom.
Good lord--the guy in squat racks was a BEAST. He could smell him from across the gym--warm, humid testosterone-laden funk. Even from a hundred feet away, the guy was so big he looked intimidating. Kris felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up as he got closer. This brute had to be well over 6 feet tall--6’5” maybe! And HUGE, easily over 300 pounds. He watched the guy easily repping over 700 pounds on the bar, which bent from the weight loaded on each side.
When the guy racked the weight, the floor trembled. Kris looked wide-eyed up at the beast. He knew now he had no chance with the guy--there was no way he was gay, even--but he just wanted to see him, smell him, be near him.
Fuck, he thought. It couldn’t be, but it was: Leonard. His brother had been out a lot lately--”working on a blooming relationship” he had said--but this explained the missing chair from the kitchen and the broken pieces in the trash.
Leonard had two big bodybuilders flanking him as he lifted. They both loaded plates for him (Leonard just toweled himself off and had a seat, sipping water as he rested between sets) and the bigger one spotted him. Kris recognized them: Tony and Dane, the biggest competitors at OrcoFit. Back when Dane had started working out there, he and Kris had actually fooled around. Kris’ heart sank as he realized he had zero chance now that he weighed only as much as Dane’s huge arm now. Tony used to fist bump him and compare training notes back in the day.
Now, both of these beasts were acting like servants for his brother! Kris couldn’t deny the alpha energy Leonard put out--with the biggest body in the gym, easily the biggest dick (judging by the massive bulge in Leonard’s shorts--a fact Kris noted while sadly patting the little pinky in his own shorts) and a level of confidence that could repel a storm.
He watched the way Dane looked at Leonard. Kris knew that look. He used to get that look all the time: hungry, full of admiration and yearning. Desperate lust. Kris felt the same way looking at Dane now.
*
“It’s really sweet that you would call me and everything,” Rob said with a manufactured politeness. “Really, it’s sweet and everything but… I’m just not into you that way anymore.”
Kris heart sank. He had been on a handful of dates recently, mostly from older men who just wanted to fuck (but he was looking for ROMANCE!). His last date ended up leaving him before dessert was served.
“I’m just asking you for coffee!” Kris said. “Nothing big. Old friends. We just haven’t seen each other in so long.”
Rob let out a deep sigh. Kris heard the shower shut off and realized he had to get off the phone quick. Leonard had demanded Kris finish their meal prep before he came downstairs. “Look,” Rob said. “I know you had some issues with me before but… I’m changed! I’m a whole different guy. I mean… I look a lot different, but I think you might like it. And honestly, I think once you get to know the differences in my… personality…”
The doorbell rang.
“I’m good, Kris, really,” Rob said. “I’ve moved on. I think being friends with you would be… problematic.”
Kris’ face fell. He casually hung up the phone as he walked to the door in a daze. He was shocked to see Tony’s massive frame on the other side when it opened.
He smirked down at Kris. “Hey, little fella,” he said, scratching his chest hair, casually licking his lower lip. “Your brother home? He said you two live together.”
Kris was flummoxed. What the hell was Tony doing at their house? “He’s in the shower,” Kris said, thumbing behind him. He felt the heavy footsteps that signified his massive brother was approaching.
“Hey, little bro,” Leonard said, ducking under the doorframe and stepping into the room wearing only a towel (that looked more like a washcloth wrapped around his thick muscular waist). “I’m all washed up, Tony. Head upstairs. I’ll be there in a second.”
Tony scurried up the stairs like an excited bunny while Kris tried to parse out what was going on.
“Oh, hey,” Leonard said, scratching his massive pec as he looked down at his tiny twin. “I know we’ve never had this conversation, but I figured you would have known by now that I’m gay, right? I mean I figured out you were even before you got all little and shit.”
Kris’ eyes went wide. “Wait, you’re… and this is how you’re telling me?”
Leonard chuckled, his big pecs bouncing as he thudded toward the stairs. “I knew you’d be a big freak about this. It’s no big deal, bro. I just figured if you’re still gonna live in my house, you should know why guys are going to be coming over more often now.”
Upstairs, the two hulks fucked loudly. The lights flickered and, while Kris finished the dishes, he feared the two mass monsters would crash through and crush him to a pulp. He wondered how long Leonard knew he was gay. Why hadn’t he said anything? Imagine how much could have been different, he wondered.
The deep bovine moans continued even after Kris headed to his room. He pulled a pillow over his head and tried to sleep through the idea that his brother, who seemed to have gained all the size Kris had lost in the past year, was fucking an old flame of his. He wondered if steroids could reverse his size loss. He wondered if Leonard could fund some hormone replacement. Then again, if he regained his former stature, who would be Leonard’s personal servant, ironing his clothes, organizing his supplements and complimenting him every time he came home even bigger and more masculine-looking?
Kris was yanked from his thoughts when his door suddenly opened.
“Hey, Kris?” It was Tony, almost completely blocking out the light from the hallway with his enormous body. It made Kris shudder to think that as big as Tony was, he was nothing compared to Leonard’s titanic physique. “Leo said I should swing down here and see how you were doing. I told him you and me used to fuck and he… said it’s been awhile for you.”
Kris stood there, dumbfounded. “You wanna… pity fuck me?”
Tony shrugged his beefy delts. “Yeah, bro. You’re pretty cute now that you’re little. And remember how you used to only top me? Time to turn those tables, little man.”
And thus began a tradition of Leonard sharing his sloppy seconds with his (finally) hard-working little brother.
