Good question! “Esta madre” is separate—you could say “ya valió chorizo el plan,” “ya valí chorizo, güey,” or “ya valiste chorizo, brother.” “Valer chorizo” is just a colorful way to say something’s screwed or done for.

Could you break down "ya valió chorizo esta madre" for me please? Is it all one expression or is "esta madre" separate? The show notes have "That's it. We're so screwed," so I figured "ya valió chorizo" meant "that's it"; is that correct?
