Belle's Burstin' Bistro Update: April 5, 2025
🕑 Added 2025-04-05 21:24:27 +0000 UTCI got a couple of things done. A lot of progress in a lot of areas.
First of all, I got the options menu
Nice and done. I actually don't remember if I showed it off or not, but also there's a No Pop toggle on the bottom and it actually works!
Where Burst is not the customer collapsing on to the table. I still need to make an asset for that.
Also I got the intro cutscene written and mostly done
And Lucy has finally made her appearance!
Plans moving further:
- Figure out how to save and load player's options preferences. I know from personal experience, its a little annoying having re-toggle stuff after every game session.
- Finish customer assets
- Get music and sfx
- Make a Freeplay Mode
I think I am starting to get closer to finishing up everything that is needed for this game to be done. Figuring out the saving and loading for this game has been a headache and I fucked up several times in my attempt (for some reason, it would fullscreen the game no matter what >:p) but I will keep working towards it. I wish I knew a good tutorial that could explain it quick and easy but judging from other tutorials, it is not quick and easy, alas... I just need to figure out how to tell the game "save these options for the player and load them up next time".
Anyways, that's all the update for today! Hope I can return next week with good news in regards to the saving & loading options preferences.

Awesome progress! I won't be using it myself, but cool to see a no pop toggle for those that prefer it.
