🕑 Added 2023-05-29 09:43:22 +0000 UTCNo news this month since I put out a main channel video, I hope that's fair enough. As you might imagine, there was not a lot of progress towards Regulus on account of the video and Tears of the Kingdom.
Anyway, this seems like a good time for feedback about the new videos since you have two examples now: Context Sensitivity and Extrinsic Motivation. I have several other scripts like this in an early stage and I'm wondering if I should pursue them. The channel has never been a democracy and that's not about to change but I'd like to know what you think all the same. If you need a third example so you can calibrate your opinion, imagine the "Fuzzy Fairness" blog post heavily rewritten to be more in the style of those other two.
I'm tempted to ramble about how I got here and what my goals are but I don't want to risk biasing the poll. Here's the bottom line: videos are not my primary focus anymore but I've yet to prove myself as a developer so it's more important to me than ever that the videos I make are actually worthwhile for you. When I release a video I'd like to believe that you're satisfied for a little while so there's less pressure on the game dev endeavours. If these new style of video aren't accomplishing that goal then I'd like to know.

Context Sensitivity changed the way I look at games. So yeah, I‘d say it‘s been even better than your other videos, even though those were already some of the best on the entire platform.

I think I disagree more with the newer videos but at the same time I feel like they are more valuable because they seem to convey your particular perspective and voice more

I have an epic comment in the works giving my opinion on this. Trying to polish it as much as possible. Fyi I like the new videos a lot; they're definitely some of the best you've put out imo.

The quality of your "old" videos is so good that it feels almost unfair to compare new videos to them. It's a very high bar to try and meet. I think I get the same level of enjoyment out of these new ones. However, these newer videos are more abstract, and topics less thoroughly discussed when it comes to game design on YouTube. New videos are very insightful into the way you view games and are very interesting. It feels good to be supporting you as someone whose been a fan for many years now, and I trust whatever direction you'll take your life when it comes to being productive creator
