I know the tail isn't something described in the books, so you can feel free to head-canon her without it, but I really like it as nod to Valera's feminine side despite being an absolute BAMF on and off the field.

Something about the color palette and angles on the helmet remind me of Strongbad from homestarrunner. Now that’s a mashup I wouldn’t have come up with before, but for some reason now I want to see a vdemails (or ValeraNOED maybe?) flash animation…
