She was a little girl with long, straight black hair. Saying she was petite would only be true when compared to adults. Standing in front of her, I, at seven years old, was almost half a head shorter than her. From this, I could guess she was at least nine years old.
This girl had a classic oval-shaped face, with long eyelashes beneath which her eyes, like two black pearls, quietly gazed at me. Her nose was delicate, and her lips were thin, giving her the appearance of an exquisite porcelain doll.
She wore a simple dress, and her legs were wrapped in mesh stockings, creating an intriguing visual contrast.
What a stunning little girl! When she grows up, she’ll definitely be a beauty capable of causing chaos. She might even rival my own older sister in terms of looks.
A flash of admiration crossed my eyes as I quietly evaluated her. But her expression was completely calm, without any emotion. Was she one of those stone-faced types?

This girl is a bit too full of herself.
I twitched my lips, deciding not to engage with this overly self-satisfied girl any longer. No matter how pretty she was, I couldn’t find the motivation to continue talking to her. “Sorry, I have something to do. I’ll be going now.”
“You’re a student at the ninja academy, right?” She called out from behind me, her tone still calm. “Do you not recognize me?”
What kind of question is that... Are you some kind of campus idol that everyone knows about?
Ah, right. I turned my head, giving her a weird look. "Nope, I don’t know you."
The girl tilted her chin up a little, her lips parting just enough to say, "My name is Uchiha Yui."
What the—?! She really is a campus idol?!
My face must've been a masterpiece of confusion at that moment.
Back on Earth, kids at school would fangirl or fanboy over celebrities for their looks or talent. But here, in this war-torn world? If you wanted to be an idol, it was all about strength.
And Uchiha Yui? She was top-tier. Rumor had it that even Kakashi Hatake, that early graduate and genius, would only be evenly matched with her in a fight - though I was sure that he would win.
Apparently, Yui could have graduated early too, but she chose to stick around the Academy for three years, for some reason.
"Seems like you’ve heard of me." Her eyes stayed cold as she watched me. "So, even now, do you still stick to your opinion?"

I pulled myself together, trying to mask the shock on my face. I wasn’t about to back down. Nodding, I answered confidently, “Yeah, I don’t think my view is wrong.”
"Hmm." She paused, staring straight at me. "Tell me your name."
Why does she want my name all of a sudden? What’s this girl up to?
I felt a bit confused but realized that since she gave her name, it’d be rude not to respond. But I didn’t want to… well, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to. But still, I didn’t want to. At least, that was the plan…

Curious, I cracked an eye open, only to find Yui looking down, as if deep in thought.
After a moment, she seemed to have made up her mind, her face as calm as ever. "People like you... you must be the pervert that Minami and the others were talking about." She paused, then continued, "But... okay. If you can beat me in a fight, I’ll grant your request."
What in the heavenly holy fuck did she say!?
