E245: RIP Loren Goldner
🕑 Added 2024-04-17 10:00:08 +0000 UTCThe communist milieu lost a titan last week. Our kind friend and mentor, Loren Goldner (1949-2024), passed away on Friday, April 12th 3:00am, at age of 76. As a tribute to his life and legacy we were able to gather a handful of people who were close to him to share stories, memories and inspirations. Special thanks to Arya Zahedi, Zhana Kurti, Jarrod Shanahan, Joe Lombardo, Ross Wolfe and Billy O'Conner for coming on to memorialize a great thinker and a great friend.

Thanks for the moving tribute to Loren. Even down here in Australia he was a big influcnec on me as I negotiated my way out of the sectarian Trot politics of my students days. I have run some Capital reading groups but wish I'd had the chance to have learned from Loren directly. The thinking world is poorer for his passing.

Great episode! Beautiful testimonies from such esteemed members of the Loren Goldners of tomorrow!!! I really loved what Z said about creating institutions and preserving memories, especially in the ephemeral space of the internet.
