Pretty Sure That's Bad For The Horse

There are no references for carrying a horse on one's shoulders, after all!!!

If you need more references, there's a strong man out of the Ukraine who does this. There are also historical photos of troops carrying donkeys on their backs so they wouldn't trigger landmines.

well, I think it's not so much about horse not wanting to go where wanted, it's more about imminent doom and supplies ON horse. which would take more time to take off horse and more hands to carry than to just carry the horse.
