July 2023 Update - And The Kitchen Sink

Development continues! While I'm hung up waiting on some things to come together for the audio, I've been spending my time polishing polishing polishing. In this case, I wanted to show off the new, more-consistent-with-the-in-game-art menu that I just finished putting together. I knew I wanted to make the menu a picture within a picture, and ended up with a simple frame inside of a more elaborate Rococo frame, to give a sense of distance between you and the primary image. (Shoutouts to the Met for making so much of their collection available to view online for me to work from! Public domain stuff rules!)
Side note, It's a pretty obvious visual metaphor, but I love it when the subject of a work faces away from the audience. Lends it an ominous energy. What are you up to Anmarie!
Anyway, once the audio is ready, Part 1 is essentially ready for primetime. That's good because the wait is killing me. Until then though, I'll keep polishing, and even get a head start on Part 2 if I can find the time.
I hope you'll continue to follow me as things move towards their inevitable conclusion!
