RS June 2023 update: Loading Bar Stuck At 90%

I've been quiet for a bit, hoping that this post was gonna be a triumphant release announcement. No such luck unfortunately... Between some family health issues and deciding that I'm not going to be able to make all my own music on a satisfactory timescale (a solution is underway), things are still hovering in the 'mostly done' stage. Scripting is also a bit more time consuming than I was hoping, mostly because I've been playing Fate/ Hollow Ataraxia for my Type-Moon podcast and have been getting obsessed with the little sprite animation touches in that game.
But! Nevertheless! Almost done means almost done, and I'm excited for y'all to officially meet the crew. In the meantime, here's a couple things I've been working on.
FINISHED SPRITES
After a million iterations, they're painted and ready to go!
The main thing I want to show off here is the halos— In my quest to show who's talking in a scene with multiple characters present, I had the fun idea to have a nondiegetic marker appear over whoever spoke last. This ended up turning into a unique halo for each named character. In the case of major characters, they contain symbols and/or flowers that represent them. Kon's flowers are red carmellia, and Glory's are white lillies. Glory also gets a crescent moon that mirrors the ornament she wears behind her ear when she's dressed up.
There are other characters with sprites in part 1, but these are the big two, so I'm just showing off them for now.
BONUS: SOME OUTFIT SKETCHES
While I was out visiting my family, I took some time to doodle out some outfit ideas that may or may not get used for future parts. I have a lot of fun drawing Glory, and she's got the most in-world reason to have a lot of clothes, so I've been having fun dressing her up. I've got another couple half finished sketches but I'll save those for another time.
ANYWAY,
that's all I've got for now. It's raining in Boston, and I've got a long week of scripting and tweaking ahead of me. Thank you for your patience as things come together, and I'll see you soon for the release of Reckless Sympathy Part 1!

Oh those halos are such a great touch! Can't wait to see them in action. Also if you're playing around with ren'py animations and you aren't using the Action Editor third party plugin I highly recommend trying it out.
