UIAssist v1.1 (Free)
🕑 Added 2020-04-20 14:09:02 +0000 UTCUI Assist (UIA) v1.1 now includes one handed control modes and options:
- Gaze opening and closing of the menus
- Gaze selection of buttons (grab/trigger button to activate button)
- Easy detaching and reattaching of the UI from the wrist (double click Select button)
- HUD mode that keeps the screens fixed in the users field of view
UI Assist allows the user to define the function of each button on the UI and then reuse that setup in any scene. Because UIAssist is a Session plugin it automatically persists between scene loads. The UI is accessible via a watch (i.e. clock) on the user’s VR wrist that can be clicked to reveal a menu of buttons. The action for each button can be targeted at the Atom last looked at by the user.
A demo of the one handed control functions can be seen here: https://imgur.com/a/gczteJQ
There are two variants of the plugin with the majority of features in the free version and advanced features in the Patrons version:
NOTE: UIAssist requires VAM v1.19.1 or greater
