Flash troubleshooting & support declines
🕑 Added 2024-07-24 21:54:01 +0000 UTCI may or may not have mentioned Flash (the program I use for my lineart and my animations/games) had some strange glitch weeks back that has caused 2 of my most recent projects to horribly corrupt. I have spent no fewer than 3 full work days in the past month trying to backtrack and fix the problem. And I am still not 100% sure if I fixed it so it won't happen again. I for sure lost at least a little work as well that can't be recovered.
Obviously, this has not been good for my stress/nerves/morale.
I have also lost a couple of major pledges this month from long time supporters, which is always a combination of sad that I may not be doing enough, and also terrifying that I may be in danger of not making my $700 rent goal.
I promise I am doing my best, and I hope to have more animation progress to share this week.
Please, don't lose faith in me. I am as near rock bottom as I have been since 2020...
All I need is faith in my work, patience while I try to get back to normal, and whatever you're willing to spare to help me keep going.
Maybe I'll just never have enough supporters to truely make my living off my work.
I am trying. And I see you all. I see your sacrifice each month to keep my projects going. I know I'll never have the kind of audience numbers to be "Hazbin Hotel" or "Undertale" or even the failed but financially successful "Breeding Season"... But I am going to keep trying and keep making what I enjoy and what I owe and what I know you all are here to see til the day I lose the ability to do so. Though I hope that's after years of old age and a comfortable death, and not due to increasingly awful anti-artist corperate policies, lawmaking, or loss of support or health.
I want to keep doing this for the rest of my life... Just without the constant struggling part.
When is life going to be "okay"? I'm not asking for perfect, famous, wealthy, or even "great"...
I am just asking for a stable income, and as few roadblocks and random crises as possble so I can draw some boobs... That really should have to feel like a constant sisyphus' boulder.
