I just realized in this comic, Emma is calling Ame her girlfriend, but in “Is this the right thing” Ame is calling them friends with benefits. Maybe something happened between these events so that they started dating, but there is a chance that they aren’t seeing eye-to-eye on that status of the relationship. Maybe Ame is trying to keep a level of distance from Emma to avoid their would be relationship from ending like all the others(despite really liking her). Though I might be looking way too deep into things.
