That made me think that this particular seaman had some kind of Seeming on them. It's a salty joke, but also the truth. And yes, that is a seawoman more likely, but that didn't sound remotely as punny.

Fortunately I should be able to buy a 3D model of a ship I can trace off of which should save my hand from a bit of strain, but my wrist still feels sore just thinking about keeping track of all that rigging lmao

I don't think there is a second map, the last two panels I believe are a flashback he is having, the figures in the background of the last panel I believe are him as a kid with his Father
