VTT Tokens: Gem Dragons
🕑 Added 2024-01-05 01:46:04 +0000 UTCWHEW okay these took way longer than they were supposed to-- the holidays kept me busy, my wrist was acting up, and on top of that I was gifted Baldur's Gate 3 so uh. My time management skills basically disappeared, and I can't even get Astarion to like me smh.
ANYWAY, look! Gem dragons! I wanted to go a bit extra with these since an encounter with these would probably be a special occasion, so I went with a fully-rendered, geode-inspired look for them. This is not something I'm going to be doing normally since it takes way too long to do, but I wouldn't mind doing it on occasion for big, boss-encounter types of monsters.
Feel free to use these in your own campaign-- all I ask is to please refrain from redistributing them wholesale. You can send them to your DM and your friends if you want, but like, don't reupload them for public use or anything like that.

Oh Raven for sure. My headcanon for Raven's voice is brighter and a lot less drawl-y than Astarion's, but he is the only one who can match the level of cuntiness that Astarion has.

I will forgive you for the time management in exchange for one question: which Tales From Alderwood character do you think is most likely to be voiced by Astarion's voice actor? Personally I see merits for Raven, but I am biased for dorky twinks.

It's SO much fun omg. I love the flexibility in gameplay and the characters are soooooo good haha! There are some minor gameplay annoyances that make me wish there was like, a confirmation window or something (I've accidentally incited multiple friendly fire incidents when changing my mind in combat...), but otherwise I am having a blast 😄

Haha I 100000% see the resemblance and somewhere during the rendering process I was like "hmm this is looking VERY Yu-Gi-Oh," but I was referencing off the official art/design that came with its 5e release. I'm glad you like them! 😄

Thanks, I think that one might be my favorite too! It was really fun figuring out how to render them to look gemstone-like, and while I think the Sapphire dragon manages to look the most polished and glassy, I really like the textures and contrast of the topaz one the most 😄

Did you take inspiration from blue eyes white dragon for the Saphire dragon? I didnt wanna make any assumptions but the design makes me think of the old design. Rad dragons all around!!!!
