🕑 Added 2024-03-04 19:55:11 +0000 UTCHello comrades! i apologies for my radio silence all these weeks, im mostly active doing some small announcements on Discord
link if you are not there https://discord.gg/xetB5d4ATe
I reserve Patreon Updates usually for more solid stuff or more important announcements but i guess i have some stuff to say related to my current tasks
but first of all the elephant on the room
Bunny Pack Aftermath:
I cannot say bunnies where a mistake, i love the ammount of characters i did thanks to it, and i love some of the assets made, However still in PROGRESS despite the proyect started in Octuber of the past year after a month of preproduction to ease the process, a process what USED to be beneficial for future race packs.... something what im thinking never do again for SFM, and i need to rework the process when im in Blender the next year so... it become a wasted time? on top of the familiar and IRL issues and the burnout of doing the pack slowed down way more the proyect, leaving relative low content with the ammount of time invested on it,
Still need to do more male assets to the pack and while its perfectly useful for base the lack of male content where a mayor concern in the previous pack (goats) gonna to use some assets from future proyects and add them when i need to practice proyects into the pack
But you know how bad im at keeping promises, still gonna to see what i can do in that department since better cloting is one of the mayor goals of the year
Speaking of practice lets talk in retrospective
ROAD TO THE SCULPTED BASED MODELS:
A year ago started one of my all time favorites proyects on my career where production was a vital key for future or mostly current skill gathering
All of this for break limits of DAZ bodies what most of my models are made of
the base itself its perfect but sometimes do some extra things what its almost impossible to craft w/o destroying and doing more work on the base itself
But then you have the JENNY Model what where a excellent candidate to tiptoe fully constructed bodies starting a series of models what i consider HIGHLY experimental
She is a multisegmented rought pieces based model so it means what MOST of the parts are just plates joined together
Elemental for the bare understanding of anatomy the challenge was complex as it was fun
my main goal was make future Robot OCs so this was another goal i wanted to do its perform this
with jenny i put most of my knowledge on her and put the limits on SFM at maximun in all aspects
the next on the line was do a SOFT characters using Sculpting and Retopology its where Julia enters in, becoming part of this series of experiments
In first place the character has proportions what will be very inconfortable for the DAZ body to work with so needed the blocking approvach
Afther this proyect started the Bunny pack what used the traditional DAZ body approvach
PALWORLD MODDING?
So i maybe mention very underneath the table but im currently working in NSFW pal mods with another crew of modders and artists who are doing models aswell....(Pal:ReLewded, Formely POD)
while i was working on the bunny i decided to givemyself a rest and focus on experimenting sculpting a bit more... its... here where i gathered another important archivement,
BAKING normals, while its just a practice homework it was very useful experience since i just used this technique in things like hair and tails, on top of that the sculpting was WAY more complex than
While i will keep working on other palworld models, i will wait until the mod go release to share these models, in the meanwhile i was working on something from myself
something what i found fun do free sculpt and do whole models in less of a week, i feel motivated while i was working with another great sculpter on the team called GUTS so thanks to him aswell
So following the experimental series of proyects i decided to go for something more complex than usual! INSECTS
"ParaBellam" WEEK REPORT N°1
So.. i had this idea a year ago about an OC what its just a butterfly Spy/assasin killing ant leaders from a oppresive comunist goverment of ants what summited most of the other insects and declared the war to the mankind
as stupid as it sounds i liked the idea so from a butterfly into a some kind of Moth i think the next step its do complext detailed bodies with the sculpt knowledge i gathered these months...
so here is Bellam progress
Body retopologied and normals baked
I started her the 18 of febraury and this week i should paint her and finish sculpting her wings what are placeholders atm, of course things like long dresses and fancy cloth, spy gear will be part of this character aswell a nice pair of Revolvers, easy to reload with four arms, maybe a BEE custome? who knows... i hope as always have more progress for the next monday
again and always, thanks you for so much and sorry for my mistakes!
