Many items are going up, some by a lot. I thought it was strange that the coffee beverage I drink, Maxwell House Cafe Vienna, hasn't gone up. Then I thought about how short the best-by dates had gotten. They're selling old stock. 😲 The can I bought this week has a best by of 1 Nov. They're normally 10-12 months.
this is how you can tell how much the prices have changed in the last year and half. first off Vigo safron yellow rice was like 1.10 to 1.25, it is now at 1.68. Festive frozen ground turkey was 1.40 now it is 1.85. to me these are staples in my pantry. I stocked up. but if the grid goes down. ai yi yi, I will have to can all that meat from freezer.
