As you can see, this post is not a Diary. That's because this isn't about showing progress anymore but more about giving out information about the coming days.
The game is ALMOST finished. Basically everything story-related has been done. I only need to integrate the credits. The "almost" comes from H content. We're VERY late and I'll be frank, we're cutting corners. There are three scenes that should have been in that update that are postponed.
There are several reasons for that delay on the H content. We all have our part of responsibility and you have no idea how lucky we are that we have the backup of a second colorist. Without him, I have no idea how we'd have done. But even so, we're still late.
There are priorities. For example, many among you could contest that we're taking the time to make the non-H pic of Yuki, Ayame and Reiko in the field. But that is a story-related picture. The scene IS already in the game. So I can't avoid it. If it had been only the title screen, why not? But it's not the case. So yeah, this pic takes the place of a H scene :x
One of the reason I'm to blame is because I started by asking for work on heavy-variation-oriented pics. I wanted one per post-game girl (Yuki, Ayame, Naomi, Anaëlle & Reiko). Considering I'm a bit of a moron, I didn't realize the implication and the time it would take compared to the rest. So as the game development progressed we went from doing everything (Yuki & Anaëlle) to less (Naomi & Ayame) and unfortunately, Reiko ends up with nothing :x It's even more stupid that the majority of those variations are for the future and won't be visible in that update. So we tried to adjust the problem these last months by drawing only the necessary elements. But even so, with the things for the future that need to be dealt with right now, it's extra work you won't even see the implication for now -_-
Script-wise, there are still problems anyway (and things not done) so we need that extra friday nonetheless...
Anyway, I'm going to give you bullet points on what to expect.
- The game story is finished
- Most H scenes aren't written yet
- I'm currently in the process of combining pics (for the scenes where it's possible.) It takes a long time because of content for future updates that have to be dealt right now (and the fact some scenes need to navigate in a sea of layers)
- The testing session hasn't started yet (I'd like to start when most H scenes are finished as well as script elements.)
- The game will only contain 6 H scenes (+ 3 H cut-ins) + 1 non-H scene instead of the 9 initially planned.
- I'm planning to make a small "catch-up" update for the end of June with the missing content so that everything is inserted properly in the main game before moving on to the post game content.
There are things we haven't been able to implement anyway (but weren't planned for now) like trophies so an "update" of the main game was bound to happen no matter what. We'll see how things evolve, but yeah, I might need an extra day or two (Monday and Tuesday of next week) to have enough time to test everything.
Needless to say that the coming week feels like it's going to be crunch time, but it's always the case, especially with the first version of a game. Due to what it involves with patrons and stuff, I apologize in advance to the $20 patrons but there won't be a one-week release advance. The game will directly be released for the $10 patrons.
Sorry about that :/
I guess I can always give you a little something to compensate.
It's nothing big. But we're adding small cut-ins like that in the game. I hope you'll like them.
Meanwhile, I'm going back to my cave and unless something terrible/important happens, you won't hear about me until the release of the game.
See ya o/

PLEASE take your time <3 I love how this game looks, I'm super excited to see the final product, but I'll wait as long as you need! Even if it takes another year!
