December update post
🕑 Added 2024-12-14 10:46:21 +0000 UTCHello everyone,
I'm making a small post to talk about this month's update. Since we're in December, it means Christmas is around and with it, a period of time with slower progression.
So while I wanted this update to be available before Christmas, it will probably only be available at the end of the month.
I have no idea what I'll manage to put in that update during the time I have (mainly because I don't know what will be finished art-wise), but chances are that this update contains mainly H stuff and much fewer scenario content. For now, my main goal is that players can be able to get at least 150 Perversion Points to unlock the 2nd tier skill and get access to watersports (because there are already scenes ready for that.) That's why I want to focus on H content.
Outside the H content, the only thing we've been actively working on is the UI improvement (it's a neverending task when you're not very good like us :x) With Hime we tried to find something suitable to improve the textbox and she had a pretty good idea. So the textbox will probably keep that design. The namebox, however will probably change a bit.
Together with these changes, Hime coded something to get rid of the text overlapping problem.
As you can see, the text follows the character's shape now. The only downside is that I have to manually set up each line for each characters.
With that new coding though, the namebox doesn't move around depending on the character, it's always at the same place, making the whole thing more consistent.
Now, I have to settle those lines values for Black-Shaped NPCs. And talking about this, oh boy... I've added 70 NPC facesets to vary the styles. So with the already 30-40 existing, I have to settle those values for more than 100 face designs x) I'll also have to make sure EVERY NPC of the game who still don't have a black shape faceset has one (notably important NPCs like Riki/Tetsu, Goro and the homeless etc...). It's really not much but I find that adding those black shapes adds a lot to the immersion, that's why I went all the way to search the internet for more.
Anyway, I'll try to make a second post next week before Christmas, but after that you won't hear from me until I release v0.31 ^^'
See ya!
