Fog of War Update
🕑 Added 2023-06-21 06:50:36 +0000 UTCHey Patrons!
Today we bring you the long awaited Fog-of-War update! This update was one of the biggest game-changing features that we still needed to add to the game for it to feel like the production-ready MOBA we want to deliver on release. The new Fog-of-War changes the dynamic between the way laners play the game and gives junglers more safety as they wander about unseen, as they no longer have to worry about being spotted by someone on the far side of the map. But be wary, this also allows enemy junglers to invade without being seen as easily as before.
The new update completely hides all units past a fixed, large radius. Health bars work in a similar fashion, only appearing when near you or an ally unit. We also added a safeguard against seeing people through walls via proximity, and not allowing players to abuse the third person camera and wall peek around tight corners. These changes make vision and communication systems more important than ever, so we are ensuring those systems are fast track and improved as much as possible. Wards will see the soonest and most immediate improvements in gameplay clarity through means of sounds, visual effects, and minimap icons.
Check out the video for a clearer visual on how Fog-of-War will work! See you all in the next one.
Thanks,
