Crosshair Update | Ethereal: Clash of Souls
🕑 Added 2022-11-27 19:58:33 +0000 UTCHappy Sunday Patrons!
As we get closer to the end of the year, we'll share more gameplay and core feature updates with you, starting with our recent update to our crosshair system.
In past gameplay, our crosshair was implemented so you knew where you were aiming, but didn't have much functionality past that, and certainly no drastic changes to help guide players as to their status in the game.
Since then we've gone through a few iterations on our crosshair and have landed on the options shown above (with a sneak peek at our new viral friend!) The two different crosshairs will be broken up by Melee and Ranged myths and offer a more streamlined and effective version of themselves to both. Here are the different states crosshairs can be in and how they will display.
Out of Combat: White Dot on Screen.
Target In Range (Out of Combat): White Dot with targeting lines now appearing.
In Combat: White Dot turns to Red and will remain Red until out of combat.
Target In Range (In Combat): Red Dot with targeting lines now appearing.
Damage Dealt: A Red X appears on your crosshair, signifying that damage has been dealt to your target.
We're excited about all the updates coming to Ethereal very soon and can't wait to tell you more, next week we'll talk more about the changes to our Axes/Spears and how Cleave comes into it!
See you soon,
