When I replaced the dashboard/gauge lights from incandescent bulbs to LEDs, I also had very uneven light diffusion and horrible hot spots, since the gauges were designed for use with incan bulbs and the light pattern from LEDs is very different. https://photos.app.goo.gl/k8mbBcfU84diagke6 My solution, though, was to just put some alumin(i)um foil tape on the LEDs to change the pattern. https://photos.app.goo.gl/MCm5ehcecDh1Rucs5 It took a bit of fiddling, but eventually got it looking much better (the slight dim spot on the top-right of the tacho isn't really noticeable in-person. https://photos.app.goo.gl/4WB9G87DgHDHPF7h7

I might ask for some advice from you at some point though as I have not a fucking clue what I am doing so it should be fun...or at least involve a lot of fire and swearing

As a complete aside from the OP, Alex Horne, while the seeming "assistant" to Greg Davies, is the original creator of Taskmaster, somewhat paralleling Binky. As an aside to the aside, Alex has also asked his children for ideas for challenges. It sometimes feels like Nik's ideas come from a similar source! :-) As an Antipodean resident, is there any way for the episodes to be released in a "Follow the Sun" way? I had to wait almost an entire day longer than those from 'Ol Blighty. How could I sleep knowing episode 39 was on its way? Almost too much to bear.
