I'd definitely recommend the original 4:3; you wouldn't believe the kind of crap that happens with the 16:9 HD, it's way too much stuff to list in a patreon comment xD I started getting my feelers out in the other Discord servers and I already switched to Mad Hatter for the Discord access, so I'll contact you there if I find something!

If you are interested in the original 4:3 (which is, admittedly, in a slightly worse resolution) I can ask around in the discord channels of other reactors who've started the show, maybe someone on there has access to a digital version of the 4:3

Yeah, Xander is a bit much in season 1, but he definitely gets less bad as the seasons go on. If you are wondering about the occasional really odd closeup or cut here and there then I'm assuming that's because you are watching the 16:9 "remaster" (with big f-ing airquotes) - the show was originally 4:3 and the remaster that is nowadays pretty much seen on all streaming platforms is quite infamous for being an absolute hack jobs at times. Unfortunately you pretty much need hardcopies off of DVDs nowadays in order to get the original non butchered versions
