The Last Chapter
🕑 Added 2016-10-12 03:40:08 +0000 UTC The last chapter of TMA is finally at a point where I'm happy with sending it out to my prereaders, so here's the link: Chapter Forty One - Honesty.There may or may not be an epilogue. To be honest, I'm leaning towards not at the moment. I just don't know what I could write that would actually expand on the story in a meaningful way. Everything that comes to mind is either too near to the end in time to be of much interest, or too far away to have any sort of significant connection to the story that doesn't feel totally random.
Anyway, this chapter is, as always, subject to extensive edits depending on what my prereaders tell me, but there you go.
In other news, I have a huge stockpile of chapters for other stories at this point. They all need editing and prereading, but with any luck, they'll come out with a bit more regularity than the end of TMA has. I've been badgered with enough PMs about Seeking Power that I'm tempted to read over it and polish it up so I can start working on it again, but anything new there wouldn't happen for a while, as that will be a long process. In the meanwhile, I really enjoy writing Harmony, so I'll probably be working on HP stories for the most part.
And speaking of, I wrote the below one shot on a brief surge of inspiration. It's a short bit of Harry/Hermione fluff in their sixth year, as Hermione proceeds to thoroughly explain why amortentia doesn't work as a love detector.

I would love to see an epilogue to TMA! I empathize with Twilight at the end, it doesn't really feel like an end without achieving some kind of resolution with Celestia. I can understand Celestia's point of view, wanting to give Luna some time out in the open to reconnect with the populace and "calm down" to put it loosely. But as a reader, I can't help but feel blue-balled without some attempt at reconciliation.
