The Missing Wonderwall Video and the "Sideways Hall of Shame"
🕑 Added 2017-12-11 20:27:39 +0000 UTC When I originally made the "Anyway, Here's Wonderwall" video I was really excited to show the internet some cutting edge research I had found that had to do with how the brain interprets music.Unfortunately, since posting that video, I have dealt with almost constant, and unfamiliar negativity.
Every morning I wake up to about a dozen new messages or comments specifically about that video and how I'm an elitist jerk. And throughout the day, all of the questions and suggestions I had been accustomed to receiving, have been replaced with people telling me I suck.
Worst yet, it looks like the message of the video itself wasn't really sinking in.
Of the disproportionately small number of people that made it through the whole video before commenting, it looks like no one really got the message:
It doesn't matter what an elitist, classical music loving band-nerd who flaunts his music degree around thinks of what music you listen to - The feelings that you get from the music that you listen to are completely valid and scientifically proven to exist!!!!!!!!!!
So in essence, it looks like the effect of this video was the exact opposite of what I had intended it to be.
And I upset a lot of people, which is not what I want my channel to be about.
In the past, whenever I made a video that didn't do so great, or had a few too many errors, or even just upset a bunch of people, I would take it down.
But, since you extremely generous folks here have been donating your hard-earned money, and in essence, PAID for this video to happen, I've decided to do this:

Depending on how this goes, this might be my first public addition to the fabled "Sideways Hall of Shame"
If you are ok with this, I might put up another video or two that I took down (almost a whole year ago now...) just to give you patrons a little more bang for your buck, and some extra behind-the-scenes action.
