The Mozart Effect
🕑 Added 2017-09-18 04:39:20 +0000 UTC I had this one on the back-burner for a LOOOOONG time.I kept trying to figure out how to balance the whole "classical music is magical" thing with the whole "The Mozart Effect" phenomenon.
All in all I'm really happy with it.
My only criticism, which a surprising number of people picked up on, is that there's some evidence suggesting that you use your linguistic parts of your brain when you listen to music if you're a trained musician.
I.e., we use our Broca's and Wernicke's areas for Ear Training.
And as such, if you have gone through any kind of ear training, or even just played a lot of music, then even lyric-less Mozart pieces could be distracting if you're trying to read or study.
I ultimately decided to omit that part, because the studies were a little dense, and the video was already starting to get a little complicated.
But other than that, I'm still putting a lot of work on the next video.
I had to delay it's release because I need a certain DVD that releases this week...
I think my next video will be wonderful...
