We work through how well his theory of the relationship between power and reason accounts for economic domination, why he thinks power and violence ought to be distinguished, and whether critical theory can escape the problem of circularity in judging the difference between better and worse reasons for acting. even more than Will agrees with Will. There are two (at least) different forms of life butting heads here. we’re taking Wittgenstein here right? I don’t think it’s about vibes. It’s about subjectivity it seems to me, and I don’t think the philosophers in the room can take subjectivity seriously. Ultimately Hegel rules in the room.
