FP April 2025 Progress Report

I'm burnt out. In the past several weeks, I've wanted to quit more than ever before. I've wanted to pull the plug and walk away, take advantage of the warming weather to ride my bicycle across the country.
But I can't do that, because I'm not satisfied. I haven't accomplished my goals. I haven't built the site of my dreams and if I quit now, I'd regret it forever.
2025 is our year. It's the year we deliver on what we promised. It's the year we build the site worthy of the title, "The Galaxy's Best VTuber Hentai Site."
It's been hard and it's been tough. I've had to restart more times than I'd like to admit, because I realize I'm doing things the wrong way.
I want to do everything myself because my ego says I can do it better than that other site. In hindsight I realize that my ideal way would mean the site would get done 100 years from now. It's the wrong way which would end with me sad lonely, depressed, and with a dead website.
My development cycle is broken and I keep getting lost in the planning, designing, developing and testing. Months pass and I never make it to deployment.
I have to change something, and that something is my title. I'm no longer a software developer, I'm now a software integrator. I'm not writing code to reinvent wheels, I'm now writing code to connect existing wheels.
And that's something I'm feeling good about.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. It's difficult right now, but I will keep pushing.

I think working on the site in stages, is the best way of thinking/accomplishing what you want to achieve. I'm terrible at wanting to get everything done, and it is perfect, before releasing anything... but that's not possible sometimes. Just keep working on different parts, and releasing those specific upgrades one at a time. That way, you get to see the progress happening, even if it's not all at the same time. Not to be devil's advocate, even thought my pfp says otherwise; you totally should have enjoyed the hot weather. Have a break, and come back with double the motivation. Good luck on getting more done. o7
