Diana Ankudinova - California Dreamin' (unfiltered)
🕑 Added 2024-07-31 20:09:07 +0000 UTCHere's the unfiltered video of Diana's cover of the wonderful song by The Mamas & The Papas, California Dreamin'.
The filter you see is in the raw video - but it's certainly more visible that mine with the additional filter 😅

Great analysis as usual. The song sent me down memory lane.

I´m having troubles listening to the song, because something always pops up in my head when I hear it. There are severals songs in german based on missunderstood english songs - quite funny actually - and they are called "Anneliese Braun" songs because someone referred to "California dreaming" as song called Anneliese Braun, based on the first words (totally missunderstood of course) So trying to put this aside and listen to the arrangement and Dianas unique voice it´s just incredible how she can create a totally different atmosphere than in the original but yet still transport the original feelings as well - and she does this with many of her covers 😉🎶 Those "strange" sounds she performs with her voice always remind me of the mongolian throat singing. 🎶
