Thriller Bark's General Zombies were all famous warriors that Moria and Hogback grave-robbed, like Samurai Ryuma and a Captain John, the drunk zombie. At the end, Nami took all of Moria's loot and let Luffy keep that armlet because it was glass, and Luffy wore it since then. It makes sense that Moria had John's mark from his dead body. And it was an episode before Sky Island when they showed Ace partying with Buggy.
