Happy New Year from AiD! 2021
🕑 Added 2021-01-03 05:12:43 +0000 UTCVilserio and Happy New Year everyone! Hope ya'll had a safe and comfortable holiday season if you're into that sort of thing. We at AiD got a lot done this year, laying down the foundation of future projects and finally getting MS2a out on Switch and MS1 on PS4. We also avoided Corona and are very much still alive, so that's certainly something to be thankful for. I never mentioned this in any prior posts because I didn't want to seem like I was asking for pity or attention, but I (Munisix) was actually hospitalized three times in 2020, losing about a month+ of productivity and a fair amount of freaking muscle mass, leaving me feeling like jelly for a while. This was during the summer, so it's mostly old news and I am pretty much completely recovered now, but it was a stark reminder that like... god damn man, being in ill health sucks ass. I hope to never repeat such an experience till much later in my life.
From great to sad to painful, 2020 was an emotional S-curve-to-the max roller coaster ride. Here are some of the highlights:
- Parted with SP and teamed up with Phoenixx.
- Got carried to the hospital in a god damn ambulance three times.
- Finalized both faults on console (Still need to do ms2a for PS).
- Aired a few TV commercials in Japan on a major network.
- Started full-fledged production on MS2b.
- Finished Limited Run Games physicals.
- We also have new members operating under AiD now, which I haven't had time to share. I probably should sometime in the near future.
I know I've said this before, but I do want to start updating Patreon a bit more frequently in the future with things like patrons-only vlogs or something where we can share our current standing as AiD a bit more clearly in a fun way. I don't know... I'll figure something out. We're gonna keep trying new things. More on this in a later post.
fault side: We have a bit more work to do before we can start sharing MS2b behind the scenes stuff but it will come soon enough! We're excited to share new things with you but also have to be really picky about what we should and shouldn't show for obviously spoilers reasons. We're still aiming for spring folks. Please do cross your fingers that everything will go smoothly lol.
Finally, I want to thank all of our patrons, new and old, for the immense support. You guys really do keep us going.

新年あけましておめでとうございます！
2020年はコロナの影響で今までにない一年となりました。誰かと会いにくい状況がこんなにも長く続いたので、人とのつながりについて考えさせられた一年でした。
AiDとして振り返ると、昨年は新しい始まりの年であったと思います。
新パブリッシャーとしてPhoenixxさんと組むことになり、新たな制作メンバーとも歩みを揃えていく体制が整いつつあり、地盤が固まってきました。
お陰様で水面下では様々な動きがあり、ゲーム開発面では試行錯誤ではありますが新しい試みをしており、大変ですが楽しく開発していけそうです。
Phoenixxさんにはfaultで初のテレビCMを打って頂いたり、IGNさんでは生放送などでms2下のロングPVをお披露目頂いたりなど、faultシリーズを広める手助けをして頂いたことに、結構な緊張感があったのを今でも覚えています。
そして移植開発が一段落し、新作開発に専念できる状況がしっかり仕上がったことも大きな成果でした。

ms1のコンプリート・エディションのアートブック収録描き下ろし作品『サイコパスルーンちゃん』はms1でやりたいと思ったネタを完全やりきることができてよかったです。こちらの作品は何らかの形でパッケージ版未購入の方にもご提供できるように検討中です。
さて、こうして昨年を振り返ってみると、精一杯の力で作品を作るのがAiDの使命だということを再認識し、身が引き締まる思いです。faultを楽しみにしてくださる皆様には本当にいつも元気をもらっているので感謝しかありません。
今年は新作の「fault - milestone two 下」を出します！
ネタバレのない範囲で開発舞台裏などを引き続きお見せできればと思いますので、今年も応援／ご支援どうぞよろしくお願いします！！
