So, do you all remember that triple kravters have access to “・+ Beta access should we decide to beta test future installments.”? Thing is, we didn’t have anything for patrons to test because we were never at a point where we needed to…. until now!!!!!
We are doing an exclusive Patreon beta test of the Sony exclusive fault - milestone one Playstation version via Steam (That sentence is confusing as hell!) Basically, this is the Renpy build we are going to hand over to Sekai Project so it can be ported over to the Unity engine for distribution via the PlayStation Store! This is the only way you will be able to access the PS version of the game on Steam till its proper release on the Vita and PS4 platform + 6 months after Sony’s exclusivity expires. Only then it will hit Steam and it will most likely not be free.
So what’s so special about the Playstation version hmm?? you ask. We'll I'm so glad you asked, but providing a change log is kind of gratuitous at this point because pretty much everything has been overhauled. Here are some of the notable features that have been implemented/upgraded:
4K assets (fault ms1 will be the first official 4K VN on the PS store)
Frame is now 1080P by default (will scale to 4K when fullscreened)
Entire game’s music has been rescored (with some exceptions)
Shiny new commercial fonts.
New sound effects.
Brand new animated speech, thought, narration, novel, and commkravte UI.
Menu system completely overhauled.
“Mouse camera tracking scenes” borrowed from SILENCE THE PEDANT. (scene will slightly parallax with mouse movement)
A crap ton of new backgrounds.
All new fight scene + bunch of new art with Koko and Ritona in the beginning of the game.
Retouched and upgraded old art assets to 2017 Hare style.
Only thing relatively untouched is the story. It’s essentially a brand new game.
That being said though, please understand that this is a BETA build and it is not fully finished! Here are some of the known bugs / elements that are unfinished:
Music is not yet mastered so some of them are quiet.
Some tracks are missing because they are simply not done yet.
Some assets are not 4K yet.
Rare but sometimes character sprite positions can be erratic.
Some of the gallery art is broken.
Names of certain characters don’t fit in the name plate.
Text box sometimes randomly shifts by 1 pixel.
We've tested it on our side various times under a whole mess of different environments and have confirmed that it is playable till the end. We have not hit any memory issues yet but unfortunately the number of machines we own are limited (hence why the beta test).
In the next post, we'll provide you with the method of access to the beta build.

Hi Jingqiu. Yes, there is a PC version. As a matter of fact, this version we are beta testing IS a PC version, and the way to access it is on the next post at the $20 tier. Hope that helps! -munisix
