🕑 Added 2025-10-03 12:11:54 +0000 UTCSecond verse, same as the first. Emrys is starting to be a firm enough build that these will be a little bit more curated and focused on building on areas he’s already good at or responding to recent threats.
Channel Companion- Allows Ve’ra to be summoned into Emrys’s body as a possessing spirit. He will be able to use any skills or supernatural abilities she has, including her new Steal Identity talent, and functionally she will replace Autopilot temporarily whenever he does this. This is of niche value, but is a prerequisite for the Possessive Companion talent, which would allow Emrys to summon Ve’ra into someone else instead. Potentially in a much less symbiotic manner.
Mystic Craftsmen- Allows Emrys to instruct followers in how to craft magic items on his behalf. This doesn’t save him any money, and he must still spend an hour or so explaining the process each time, but this will free him up for captaining and controlling the weather.
Fading Slide- When Emrys is attacked in close quarters, he can make a counterattack before they make contact. This can theoretically knock them out, but in any event he will fall to the ground as part of his dodge. Curtis can then scramble away or teleport with energy leap or whatever, but he’ll be temporarily in a dangerous position when he chooses to use this ability.
Breadth of Experience- It’s easy to forget, but Emrys has been alive for 100+ years. This feat lets him draw upon all of those half forgotten memories, giving him +2 to all knowledge and profession checks, and allowing him to roll for functionally any knowledge or profession (in theory).
Divided creation: Allows Emrys to make multiple smaller ice structures instead of one big one. They all need to be identical, but it could be useful to (for example) bar multiple doors or scatter several pillars across a large room.

I mean, getting the crew up to snuff by making everyone instantly competent at sailing took precedent. That’s not entirely unreasonable I think
