Self Insert of the Dead – Chapter 7 – Saya’s Not That Kind of Zombie
🕑 Added 2022-06-14 18:33:32 +0000 UTCGoing back to the police sniper’s stash for an eventual terrorist attack—
‘I’m pretty sure that’s not what all those weapons are for, Lee.’
I’m American, Takashi. Everybody’s a terrorist until proven otherwise.
‘Don’t you mean innocent—’
Oh, sweet summer child…
Anyway, going back to the eventual mass shooting location while holding Saeko’s hand is the kind of thing a younger me couldn’t have dreamed about. Not because I thought Saeko didn’t exist, or because I thought I would die a virgin (one of those two things I actually thought), but…
“Good… morning…” Rei hesitantly says when we come in, sitting on the very same sofa I left her sleeping in when I sneakily managed to wriggle out of her unconscious grasp, the thin cotton blanket pooled over her lap.
Yeah, because of that.
‘What? You mean you never thought you’d go from having a thigh job in public with one girl and then you’d greet another girl that your split personality had sex with the night before? How tame, Lee. How vanilla. How borderline puritanical of you.’
You’re getting mouthier. I don’t like it.
‘Well, if that’s what you think, I guess I should let you talk with Rei and explain things all on your own.’
You motherfu—
‘Can’t hear you~’
“Takashi?” Rei asks after seeing me contort my face in far too many ways for a sane person who’s not speaking to anybody to do.
“Lee, actually. Sorry about that,” I answer, sheepishly smiling and going to rub the back of my head only to realize I’m still holding Saeko’s hand.
And she isn’t letting go.
And I just waved my arm to draw attention to that fact.
…
Fuck me.
‘That reminds me: masturbation could get awkward.’
I hate you. And I hate that you’re getting my sense of humor.
‘I’m not that thrilled about it, either. There’s too much self-deprecating humor lying around in here.’
“I can explain!” I say, dooming us all, but mostly Takashi, because fuck that guy.
Rei arches an eyebrow.
Saeko clears her throat.
…
I can’t explain.
“Look,” I start, trying not to make this even more awkward with a prolonged silence, “I don’t know how much you heard—”
“Everything. Absolutely everything. Saeko is quite… vocal.”
To my right, still silent despite all of this, Saeko’s high cheekbones get a very attractive dusting of pink, and she smiles shyly as she tucks her chin in, as if both embarrassed and pleased that Rei just told us she’s listened to her screaming her orgasm to the empty streets.
My penis is very confused.
I blame Takashi.
‘And I blame you, random citizen!’
… I’m weirdly happy that you now have watched Megamind, even if by proxy.
“Right, so… What am I supposed to explain now? Because, well, you know Saeko and I did… things, just as Takashi and you did… other things. And, well, you already talked with Takashi about—”
“If you say ‘things’ one more time, I swear I’ll stab you in some non-vital part,” Rei says in a way that I’m partially assured it’s not that serious.
‘Actually—’
Don’t contradict me, please.
“If you can get past me,” Saeko finally says, stepping forward, her bokken lightly held in her free hand, “you’re welcome to try.”
…
“Nope. No murder, no mutilation, and no threats of physical violence. You two know why we’re stuck in our current situation, so don’t make it any worse,” I say as soon as I process that, yes, Saeko’s perfectly capable of murdering Rei just because she feels threats can’t be jokes.
Wait, how do I know that?
‘Uh… I don’t seem to see anything about that in the manga.’
But…
‘Yeah, I agree. I also “know” it.’
… Fuck.
‘Switch?’
Please.
All right, done.
“Takashi here. Saeko, Rei’s just joking. Please, there’s no need to escalate,” I tell her.
And she looks at me with wide eyes that hold a hint of betrayal before she lets go of my hand and steps away from me.
… That hurts. I don’t know why, but it really hurts.
‘The bleed over—’
Yeah.
“Takashi?” Rei says, finally rising up from the couch, the blanket falling away from her legs to show she’s just wearing her uniform’s blouse and some blue panties that I get a quick glimpse of—damn it, Lee!
And now she’s tackling me, her arms tightly wrapped around my waist, her face rising up to meet my lips, and she kisses me with hunger and…
And…
And I kiss back. Because she’s Rei, and I’m still in love with her, and I feel like shit for doing this to Saeko, who’s staring at the two of us, the hand that was holding Lee’s now on her lips as her eyes take on a note of yearning, and…
This… This is too much.
So I put my hands on Rei’s shoulders and push as softly as I can while I stop moving against her lips until she gets the message and lets herself be pushed away, looking at me with confusion and…
“We… We need to talk,” I tell the both of them.
Which is when Saya grabs the collar of my shirt, pulls me back so abruptly I lean back and almost lose my balance, and only catch a glimpse of hungry pink eyes before she dives down and thrusts her tongue inside my mouth, swirling it until I start feeling dizzy.
When she lets go, I feel a strange mix of relief and disappointment.
“Yeah, we sure need to talk. Not about this feelings and relationship bullshit, though, but about my sheer, unmitigated genius!” she triumphantly exclaims as Saeko blinks at her with more confusion than I’ve ever seen on her face, and Rei looks like she’s about to start biting.
‘So… you haven’t forgotten about that day in second grade?’
I wish I could forget about that day in second grade…
***
“Drink this!” Saya… proclaims, pointing at a white coffee mug set in the middle of the grey kitchen counter with a gesture so grandiloquent and elaborate it wouldn’t look out of place on Lelouch vi Britannia—damn it, Lee!
‘Don’t blame me for finally getting some taste—wait, no, do blame me for that. Sorry, I’m used to being accused of things I don’t want to take responsibility for.’
“Why?” I finally ask the exuberant pinkette who seems about to vibrate off her stool.
“I started reading on ki, qi, prana, pneuma, od, mesmerism, vitalism, mana, and a lot of other things that seemed tangentially related last night, after drinking enough of your sperm that I could feel the warm bubbles of energy sloshing around deep inside me—”
“Either you’re doing that on purpose, in which case, please stop, or you are doing that without realizing it, in which case, please, I beg you, stop.”
“You’re too much of a prude for someone who’s made three girls come in less than a whole day,” she says, waving my protests away as Rei seemingly chokes on air and Saeko stiffens her rigid posture even further.
They’re both sitting by my sides. I’ve got no retreat.
‘And no surrender?’
I didn’t get that reference.
‘Right, so we still haven’t fully merged our memories. Good to know.’
“So… You basically went on a Wikipedia crawl and—” I start, trying to shed even a smidge of clarity on Saya’s rant.
“And! That was just the start, the spark of inspiration that would bring about the sheer, unmitigated genius that I now offer to you, mere mortals, with a magnanimity the Boddhisatva himself would envy, thus no longer being worthy of being called a Boddhisatva, because envy implies attachment, and that would bring him down to the same level as—” she interrupts, clearly intent on denying that clarity I was trying to get at.
“Saya, what the Hell are you on?!”
“Drugs! Wonderful, magical drugs!” she happily exclaims, yet again triumphantly pointing at the mug of coffee in a way that is begging for a flaring cape.
…
“What the Hell?” Rei asks, voicing the thoughts of three-quarters of the people inside this kitchen.
“Coffee!” Saya… corrects? It doesn’t sound like a correction. “Coffe’s a drug, caffeine is a cognitive enhancer, and it will block the adenosine receptors in the brain, tricking it into thinking it doesn’t need to sleep. The thing is, the material about how the subtle, esoterical energies are supposed to work? That’s a lot of reading to do, plenty of it either incomplete, contradictory, or metaphorical. I don’t have time to waste with it, not if we’re going to take advantage of Takalee’s magic cock—”
“What did you just call him?” Saeko asks, her hands clenched around her borrowed pencil skirt.
“Wha—oh, Takalee, a portmanteau for when he stops pretending to be two people—”
“I’m not—I am two people, Saya; I’m not pretending!”
“Sure you are. To yourself, at least. Ship of Theseus? Lee should remember what that’s about; it appears in plenty of the kind of sci-fi I think he consumed. Let the memory flow, Takashi.”
“What are you even—oh. That… That’s not what…”
Rei slams a hand on the counter and waits for all of us to look at her.
“Do you mind explaining in a way that all of us can understand?” she says, pretending to be calm.
And not tricking absolutely anyone.
“Right,” I say, because I don’t trust the current Saya to not tick her off any worse, “the idea is that, if you take a ship and replace an old part, that’s still the same ship you started with, right?”
“Obviously,” she replies, looking at me with warm, chestnut eyes that—not the time.
Damn it.
‘I… Yeah. Sorry you are dealing with this. Want me to tag in?’
No, no. Thanks, but I think I still know them better.
‘Maybe.’
“Right. Broken ship, fixed, still the same ship. But you can do that for years, replacing one thing after another, and, at the end of it, you have something that doesn’t have a single piece of the original ship, yet you’re still calling it… the ship of Theseus, I guess.”
“What does—”
“It doesn’t stop there. What if you had saved all the old pieces until you had every single one, and then you built a ship out of them? Which of the two would be the ship of Theseus, Rei?”
Her eyes widen as she looks at me, on the verge of a panic attack.
“You… You aren’t a ship! You’ve got a soul! Your… your memories don’t change that!”
“Don’t they?” Saya interjects. “How do you know? And how do you know whose soul is in there? Is it Takashi’s? Is it Lee’s? Both?”
Rei pales and pushes away from the counter. I try to hold her arm, to calm her.
And she twists and throws my hand off her.
Her eyes are wide, her pupils pinpricks, and she’s breathing like… like she’s about to lose her mind.
Saeko stands up and circles around me. For a terrible moment, I think she’s about to strike Rei down before she loses it and attacks me.
She doesn’t
She, instead, kneels on the floor, her arms around the panicked girl, dragging her into a calming embrace I wish I could give her.
“Gee, drama much?” Saya idly comments before taking the mug and drinking from it until she upends it entirely, her tongue darting out to lick the last drop on the rim of it. “Ah… Damn, I didn’t mean to finish it.”
Three people glare at the self-proclaimed genius of our group, and she shrugs as if none of the current chaos has anything to do with her.
…
Next time she sucks my cock, I am making her choke on it.
‘Attaboy. Speaking of…’
***
“What are we doing here?” Saya asks as I lock the door to the bathroom.
She’s… still wearing the same clothes she wore when she came in here last night, but they look askance. As if she’s spent the whole night moving around without bothering to fix the left strap of her top sliding down her arm, or the shorts' ever-lowering waistline, or her panties showing and… and…
Right. I don’t even have to pretend not to notice.
“Oh?” Saya asks, one of her eyebrows rising above the red rim of her glasses as a smirk that shows the point of her fangs makes me feel… things. “You couldn’t resist my charm any longer, Takashi? Well, it’s only to be expected—”
Fuck it.
I surge forward and grab her hips, pulling her against my growing erection as I kiss her roughly and forcefully. Saya moans into my mouth, but I can still feel the smirk, the sense of utter superiority, as if, just by showing her I desire her, I’m proving her right.
Which, to be fair, I am.
Because she’s gorgeous. Her body isn’t toned like Rei or Saeko’s, but she’s got the kind of curves that boys my age can’t help but stare at. I’ve tried to stop myself far too many times for me not to acknowledge that.
And she’s also… Saya. One of my oldest friends, funny and witty, even if I sometimes don’t get her jokes. She’s also kind and patient, even when she pretends not to be.
She’s… Basically perfect.
And the fact her ‘fault’ is to act like she knows she is… And that my ‘fault’ makes me want to bend her over until she begs me to stop making her cum over and over again…
Damn it.
“You’re full of Heat, aren’t you?” I ask her, forcing myself to pull away from hungry lips, an eager tongue, and knowing, mirthful eyes.
“What?” she answers, her confusion clear in the split second it takes her to decide that’s not something a perfect being would show and replace it with a knowing grin.
“The coffee. What did you do to the coffee, Saya?” No, that… that won’t work, not with how she’s thinking at the moment. “I won’t know about it unless you explain it to me. I am not as smart as you are, as knowledgeable. Please, teach me.”
It… It shouldn’t work. I’m not an actor, but… but if she’s as full of it as I think she is…
“Of course you won’t… But that’s not your fault, is it? Not if you accept that I can teach you, that I know best…” she almost purrs the last word, and then she turns around and bends over, grasping the edge of the marble counter and swinging her hips in a painfully slow sideways eight, her ass making the shorts tighten until the panty line shows as clearly as if she wasn’t wearing them.
Damn it.
I don’t have to pretend to be entranced by her, and she knows it, looking at me through the mirror in front of her, her smile impossibly widening as I step forward and run my hands down her back until I cup her cheeks, squeezing them as I see her bite her lip.
“Can you… explain?” I ask, my voice suddenly very uncooperative as my hands keep roaming her body.
“Pseudoscience, my dear Takashi. Just… pseudoscience,” she answers, pushing back against my hand, grinding against me until my fingers slide between her cheeks, and I feel a wet patch that makes her throw her head back and moan.
“That…” I swallow, my throat feeling raw as I bite my own lips while looking at Saya’s almost pornographic exhibition. “That doesn’t tell me anything.”
“Masaru Emoto: he wrote The Hidden Messages in Water. I dismissed it at the time, something unscrupulous without any real methodology, but… But if ki’s real, and Saeko’s right about it being related to intent… I couldn’t discard it, could I?” She arches her lower back, forcing me to touch her where she’s hot and wet, and I can’t even think about a reason not to do it.
“I still don’t know who you’re talking about,” I tell her. And then I pull her shorts and panties off, and her smell assaults me.
She snorts, then thinks about it and giggles, the sound as cute as the innocent smile she shoots me through the mirror.
“The idea… The idea was that water can be influenced by emotions. Write positive words, or play cheerful music, and then freeze it, and you’ll get beautiful crystals when you look at it under a microscope. Do the opposite? Negative words, pictures of violence… and then you get ugly crystals. Ridiculous. Unscientific. Baseless.” She, yet again, pushes against me, swaying her hips so my fingers slide over wet lips and make her purr. “And right.”
I unzip my pants and drop them to the floor, Saya finally turning her head to look at me over her shoulder, a pink, almost reddish tongue darting across her lips as her eyes go to my erect member.
“What did you do, Saya?” I tell her, grabbing her waist, feeling the soft, yielding flesh bare beneath the bunched-up top.
“I wrote ‘enhance, wakefulness, intelligence, comprehension’ on a jar of water, and I brewed coffee with it,” she says, holding still, almost trembling, smiling.
“Just… that?” I won’t be able to hold back much longer.
“No. Of course not. I wrote them while feeling everything you poured out down my throat. I made that tingling, warm sensation pooled around my womb slide up my body, flow from fingers, permeate the ink as it was deposited. I thought the words, devoted all of my immeasurable concentration and attention to them. I branded them on the world, Takashi! I could feel it! I wrote, and reality bent to accommodate it, to make it true!”
She’s… Her cheeks are crimson, and so’s her forehead. She’s burning up, and I can feel the waves of warmth coming off her.
I can also feel the Heat, calling to me from within her.
I pull her away from the counter, my cock sliding up her ass cheeks in a way that makes both of us groan, and I spin her around before lifting her up and sitting her on the marble.
She looks back at me, licking her lips yet again, her legs spread, wetness flowing down from her sex fast enough it already has dripped over the marble.
“You can’t resist me, can you?” she says. “This body of mine… it drives you wild. It makes you want to take me, to stuff me full of your dick, to pound it deep inside me until you can no longer take anymore of the exquisite pleasure I’ll bring you… And you fill me up. Not just with your thick cock, but with your semen. With more and more of your Heat…” Her eyes are lidded, and she leans back, holding herself up with her left hand on the marble behind her before she lifts up her top, baring her breasts at me, cupping each of them in turn while biting her lip before her hand trails slowly down her body until she spreads her pussy open. “You really can’t resist me… can you?” she purrs.
Something in my head snaps.
I step forward and run my hands down her thighs, lightly enough that I leave gooseflesh behind trailing fingers even as I keep staring at pink, wet flesh offering me a gate to something I desperately crave.
Then I take her legs and lift them up, closing them and holding them over my left shoulder.
Saya arches an eyebrow and waits for me to do what comes next.
And what comes next is the excruciatingly painful experience of not filling Saya up after that rant. Because she’s not in her right mind, and I would never forgive myself if I took advantage of this.
Still… there’s being patient, and there’s being a saint.
So I lay my cock over her pussy, running it back and forth to gather enough lubrication, and then I push forward between the snug gap of her thighs, making sure to press down so I rub against her clitoris with each stroke.
“Ah!” She tries to cover her surprise at the intense sensation quickly enough, but I still catch the flash of it, the momentary loss of control that reinforces we shouldn’t go any further than this, that this is already pushing it. “You… Of course. You respect me too much to take my first time in this place, with such a rush, don’t you, Takashi?”
I lean forward, soft thighs pressing down on even softer breasts, and take her lips. My hips drive forward with the full weight of my body, making her flesh bounce and quiver, but our lips…
They meet, and I make it soft, tender.
Loving.
Because she’s Saya.
And she’s momentarily insane, her head full of energies she doesn’t understand, making things she doesn’t know the details of that keep making her pride run out of control. The regular Saya, the sane one, would have noticed, stopped, taken notes, and tried another way.
This one? Her pride didn’t allow her to notice she was even capable of making mistakes.
And now she’s full of Heat, after a whole night of drinking ‘magical drugs,’ and I don’t know what that could do to her, but I can only hope this is enough. That the same thing that purges the Heat and leaves behind only strength and power will be enough to have Saya come back from whatever this is doing to her.
So I wrap my left arm around her thighs to make sure she doesn’t squirm away, that she doesn’t maneuver so I end up inside of her, and I keep kissing her lips. My body shows her my desire, my lust, my need for her perfect beauty, and my lips show her my love, my tenderness, my devotion for my perfect friend.
She responds to it, her fingers trailing across my hair until she cups my cheeks, until she holds me against her as her tongue comes through my lips. Not demanding or aggressive, but…
Tender. Sweet. Loving.
It’s almost enough to make me lose control, to shift my hips ever so slightly and take her for real, to claim her as mine and only mine. She’s Saya, my Saya, and I’ll brand her body with the pleasure she’ll only find between my arms. I’ll hold her and protect her. I’ll make her happy, safe, cared for, loved. I will…
The Heat.
I…
It’s around me, spiraling, swirling. I can notice the motion, even if not the space it goes through, like moving a hand without touch. It’s there, and I know it’s there, but I don’t know what else is.
And it pounds behind my eyes.
I take it in with every breath, but also with every thrust between Saya’s, soft, warm thighs. I feel it pooling below my navel, in that one point Saeko taught me about, but I can also feel it coming in and out of my lips, touching Saya all over. I can feel it dripping from her sex, soaking into me.
It’s… I still had some from before, from the battle, but it’s everywhere, even if more diluted than the burst the zombies let out when destroyed. Saya’s spent the whole night drinking it in, and there’s something inside me that calls to it, that draws it, and now her fault and mine are singing to one another, and each spark of her pride ignites yet another blazing flame of my lust.
I kiss her, drinking from her, swallowing her saliva just to taste her, just to take some of her inside me. And she moans, so I also swallow the sounds of her pleasure, my chest heating up with the knowledge that it’s me that’s making her squirm on the verge of something she would’ve never felt as intensely on her own.
I pull away, my cockhead once more brushing past her clitoris, and she shivers. And I know she’s proud. Proud of how hard I am, how much precum I’m dripping over her body, how roughly I am breathing, how my arm around her legs quivers with effort as I pour every ounce of my strength into holding her against me.
I thrust forward, and we both revel in it. In the feeling of me wanting to take her, and her wanting me to want her.
I open my eyes, and I see her looking straight at me, her smile something that’s no longer a grin. It’s still prideful, still burning with her sin, but…
But it’s another kind of pride. The one that’s been sated, proven right. She doesn’t need to act out; she can just… accept me.
And she does.
And I can feel it, the moment something inside of us connects, her pride and my lust touching one another.
It’s warm.
Soft.
Tender.
“I love you,” I manage to tell her right before words lose all meaning.
Her smile melts into something innocent and full of wonder, and her lips move to shape words that I long to listen to.
But I can’t.
Because… Because her Heat rushes against mine, waves lapping at the shore and sinking into the sand, and then I feel it burning inside of me, circling below my navel at a steady rhythm that pulls my mind within it until the pressure rises so far and so high that I can no longer contain it.
And so, one last time, I thrust between her thighs, between silky, wet skin, and her eyes fly wide open as her jaw drops.
And then I’m cumming, my sperm flying over her belly, reaching between her breasts in dripping white, and Saya’s eyes roll back as her body goes limp fast enough that I barely have time to hug her to me even as my knees quiver and I feel the need to lie back down, to rest and…
And the Heat melts away, consumed in our mutual flame.
And Saya, beautiful, wonderful, genius Saya…
Snores.
…
I’m recording this. I wonder how her prideful self will react to it.

Originally, Leekz01 (the commissioner) just wanted a HoTD fic precisely because he wanted some kind of continuation after the manga was dropped, but I kinda wanted to explore the cultivation thing while putting my own spin on things (so that I finally have an excuse to bombard you all with martial arts nonsense). The idea is definitely to keep it going long after the end of the manga, but I do need to sit down and properly plan some things I've only sketched out.
Pope Yoda I
This is probably the first Highschool of the Dead fic I've enjoyed reading in quite a while. I think the last one was years ago, before the author of the manga died. I wonder if you have long term plans for this fic given that the manga was cancelled, or if this just to scratch a creative itch you want to explore in a horror-esque setting.
