“Rae, c’mon. We need to talk. This is getting a little ridiculous, even for you.”
“I… hah, I don’t know what you mean.” Rae gasped in feigned innocence, flicking her tail in annoyance.
Flynn folded his arms in front of her, trying to be stern. It was hard, usually he was pretty laid-back about most things if it was sort of a ‘no harm no foul’ sort of deal, but this skirted the edge of sanity and fell right over into the abyss. At least they had managed to relocate Rae back into the bedroom on her spaceship a couple days earlier while her feet could still touch the ground.
“First of all, you’re so taut I feel like if I poke you too hard you’re gonna egg all over the place.” He ran the back of a finger veeeery gently along the near rock-hard curve of her overstuffed belly for emphasis.
Rae couldn’t help but let a small giggle slip out, but she immediately went right back to pouting as much as she could while fighting for every particle of air in her cramped lungs. “Right? It feels ah- amaziiinnnggg…”
“Second, you look like you’re barely holding onto the calerian shape as it is. It’s hot, but I worry about you.”
“Aww… you’re sweet. Don’t worry, shapes were… wuh… made to be broken.”
“Third… babe. There’s nothing wrong with knowing your limits.” Flynn sighed and moved his hand from her belly to one of her legs, reaching up to grasp at the dark purple chitinous spike helping to hold her up. Along with that one two more were slowly ripping through her side and unfurling with every laboured breath she took, like rapidly growing bamboo. “But this? This is a good sign you should stop.”
Rae blushed in embarrassment and sucked in another shallow breath along with the two stubby spindles back into her side. It lasted for maybe ten seconds before she lost focus and they began to poke out again. “Flynnn, I’m so close! God, I’m so…sssooo close… Just a little more… and they’ll be full term. I’ll win. I can do it...”
“If you pop I’m gonna say I told you so.”
“I’m not… gonna… pop. I’m… hkk… crowning a bit so there’s a pressure release back there…”
“Rae!” Flynn cried, exasperated, fascinated and concerned all at the same time. He whipped out his communicator again in a semi-threatening gesture, smiling and rolling his eyes. “That’s it, I’m gonna record this so you can see how nuts you were later.”
“Nuh-uh. That’s not gonna h-happen because I have… no regrets.” She moaned, but only partially because of Flynn. Rae flipped off Flynn and his communicator with two of her arms, the other smaller set trying to hold the ruined remains of his shirt together on her painfully gravid frame.
“Oh, you will…” He stated with all firmness, readying his fingers for The Tickling.
