[Extra] The way it rubs
🕑 Added 2022-09-15 00:02:01 +0000 UTCHello there, fellow futa lovers!
Painting an illustration requires construction as a fundamental skill. We use knowledge and personal references from anatomy and perspective to create stuff from imagination (the approaches are endless but always rely on a set of wires, boxes, spheres, cylinders, and the like). I think of it as the mental great-grandfather of 3D modeling and rendering. Today I'd like to bring you something different: an observational study with just a speck of equine imagination. What I love about observational studies is how committed we get not to visual descriptions (which come naturally to construction approaches) but to a visual impression instead. Our eyes are wild beasts. They don't see people or objects. Light is all they can see, so edges get blurred, foreground and background fuse here and there, colors are never undoubtedly what they seem to be, and so on. So much joy! The result of thinking like this is always some form of realism. I believe this kind of practice is an excellent antidote to bad habits that constantly arise during construction routines and to creative burnout. And it's fun, oddly relaxing as well. =^____^=
I'll probably bring more of those in the upcoming weeks. Although the canvas doesn't get as busy as many illustrations, I hope you like them.
Enjoy!

p.s.: this is an extra painting, an early access submission. I'll post it on my social media in the future.

Thank you so much, Tazma! =^______^= You know, I've heard this several times over the years, that my drawings/paintings have something dreamlike about them. I think my admiration for wet-on-wet techniques (in which the paint flows more freely, creating hazy washes with blurred edges everywhere), and my attempts to learn it (both traditionally and digitally), might be the reason for this. I think this approach can, in many cases, create images that, seen from a distance, look realistic to some degree, but when we come closer (or zoom in), we see pure abstraction, brush marks, canvas texture, shapes of color, all these things that can only be found in paintings, and yeah, they make us wonder. =^_____^= I'm honored to take you and others to distant places from time to time. 😊😊😊

Wow, you have the same dream like style that you started with, it awakens the imagination, but your work has evolved so much. In a thumbnail it looks like a photograph, but when you open it up, it almost is to good to be true

When we talked about this gallery not having enough icons/busts/portraits, I was like, "K won't be expecting it when this one's posted." =^___^= I'm still experimenting with the time-lapses, but it can become a thing soon. :)

And to believe I was once skeptical about sketching them in the first place... =^___^= I'm glad you like them!

Thanks, Captain! =^___^= I've been practicing a lot these last few years (all thanks to you and everyone here in this gallery), so yay, results! As for the girls, they make a lovely couple, don't they? 😍😍😍

OH! YES! AMAZING!! This is an absolutely gorgeous piece of artwork! And for those who don't know, there's a time-lapse video in the $5 tier, totally worth it.

You've become so good compared to first you started. And Shola being my favorite char, makes this 2x as good 😉
