Well regardless, Angela was the original love interest for Ratchet but I don't think they were able to replace her voice actress so they did away with her

Alister is still considerably old enough to be Ratchet’s dad. Also, I assume Angela is older than Ratchet, but not by much. I’m not too big on sexually pairing Angela with someone old enough to be her dad, but that’s just my personal feeling. I’d love to see how things progress.
