-FUSHIGURO MEGUMI POV-
-A FEW HOURS EARLIER-
“Kin-chan! Kin-chan! Look at those Temples! There are so many of them here!” Kirara lets out excitedly from her seat beside the bored looking Hakari, while showing him all the tourist spots in Kyoto.
Hakari quirks up his eyebrows and mutters interestedly as he spots an ad of a wrestling match taking place tomorrow. “Hoh? Miyamoto versus Rengoku! Wonder how much I can make from that if I bet on the winner…”
Nom! Nom! Nom! Nom!
“Mhmm… Man these bentos are really something else! That salesgirl really wasn’t lying when she sold them to us!” I let out sighs of satisfaction as I bite down for another bite of my meat special bento, both of us first years sitting behind the second years.
“They were pretty expensive though.” Yuta mutters also taking another bite of his own seafood special bento. But his lips quirk up in teasing as he elbows me in the ribs. “Though you got a special discount from her didn’t you? You pretty boy!”
Yuta chuckles as I let out a groan of irritation. Sure the girl was nice, but for one I was already spoken for, and for the other she was acting super clingy and creepily. Who would think that something like that could happen in real life?! I always thought that those kinds of situations only happen in anime-
Oh wait, I AM in an anime world! Never mind those thoughts, I guess.
“MT. FUJI!” Kirara lets out a squeal of delight as she stands up and clicks the camera button of her phone hundreds of times, capturing multiple picture of the legendary mountain as our bullet train passes by it.
“Haven’t you seen it before though?” I tilt my head in confusion. After all it was the biggest mountain/volcano in the country and our work involved a lot of travelling all over the place.
Kirara rips her gaze away from the mountain and nods with a childlike excited gleam on her face. “I have! But every time I see it I am always amazed by how pretty yet grand it looks!”
Her excitement bleeds over into me as I smile looking at the mountain too. “I guess you are right senpai.”
“Shame the rest of the first years couldn’t join us for the trip.” Yuta sighed.
He goes from cheerful to depressive really quickly…
I pat his back in encouragingly. My smile light as I joked to cheer him up. “Don’t worry so much Yuta, look at it this way. If we lose then everyone could come along with us to Kyoto next year!”
“Don’t lose you know?” Gojo whined from behind our seats as we jerked in surprise and realization that both Shoko and Gojo were sitting right behind us- we had kind of forgotten it in the moment. “How would I boast about my awesome students to Utahime if you guys don’t lose to those weaklings?”
Before we could reply though-
BONK!
Shoko bonks him on his head, her gaze not moving from the magazine she was reading. “Behave Gojo.”
“Hai! Hai!” Gojo pouts and sits back in his seat.
Yuta and I both looked at each other in mirth and amusement, letting out a few chuckles as we shook our heads.
TING! TING! TING!
A beeping announcement noise echoes out of the speakers on the train, as I looked up. “Kyoto Bullet Express will be arriving at the Grand Kyoto Terminal shortly. It is advised for passengers to prepare themselves for exiting the train in a respectful manner. Thank you!”
“I guess we’re finally here huh?” I muttered out loud, excitement clear in my voice and eyes.
...
“And we have arrived!” Gojo lets out with a massive smile as we look at the old traditional shrine temple like compound sprawled in front of us. “To the Kyoto Jujutsu High!”
It was in once word, Massive. Just like the Tokyo school it held an old traditional Japanese architecture, yet most if not all the buildings looked like they were shrines instead, with massive ornate dark wooden rooftops and massive Torii gates at the front, and statues of multiple different deities. Though some looked like they would tip over if even the lightest wind hit them. There were also lots of cherry blossom and bamboo trees all over the compound- since it isn’t spring yet they weren’t blossoming -giving it a very beautiful art-like vibe instead of the efficiently organized look of Tokyo.
“Looks nice doesn’t it?” Shoko hums out from besides me before turning towards the bandaged white haired man and the silent Yaga. “I’ll be going now principal, I’m needed in the infirmary here.”
She was one of the best healers in Jujutsu Society, and since this was a event where there could be serious injuries among students, intentional or unintentional, it was a given she would have to attend.
Gojo just answers with thumbs up, as Yaga nods. “I understand.”
“See ya, kids!”She waves to us as she walks away.
Yaga turn to us, rubbing his chin in thought. “Well, you kids don’t really need to accompany us but I suggest we should at least greet Principal Gakuganji and the rest of the teachers before you guys go do your own thing.”
Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event was a two day event that typically took place sometime in September, with only the second and third years taking part in normal circumstances.
Day 1 would mainly focus around team challenges, typically some kind of point-based game. On the other hand, Day 2 focuses on individual 1v1 fighting tournament.
But obviously, we had arrived a day earlier than the actual event so we had some time to explore and stuff.
“Well, you guys go on I’ve got to go to the toilet.” I waved as I tuned and walked in a random direction.
“… Does he even know where the toilet is?” Kirara asks in confusion.
“No.” Yuta lets out a sigh of suffering, his lips twitching up in silent amusement. “No he does not.”

A/N: This was going to be part of chapter 36, but it really wasn’t fitting and was messing with its pacing a lot. So I decided on putting in a introduction to Kyoto students rather than this, and made this a omake for fun.

Will Megumi use parts of his shikigami like sukuna? For example, when sukuna mimicked piercing blood with max elephant.
