April 14th came and went. A big change was that the Bank robbery didn't happen. Coil probably changed his plans because his target was firmly in the hands of the PRT now, and he was not brave enough to risk their wrath right now.
He was a snake after all. He would wait for an opportunity before he makes his move again.
Or do it through a proxy.
You can never tell with the manipulator types.
At least this means that Panacea wouldn't turn into the Red Queen… for now at least. I didn't believe even for a second that I could stop Amy’s breakdown after the years of frustrations she had suffered, and unfortunately I was not an expert in Talk-No-Jutsu like my other fellow isekai protagonists.
So I would just hope and prepare, and help wherever I can so that the tragedy that happened in canon doesn’t repeat here. But for that I will have to deal with 9 insane and powerful people that I want to firmly stay away from for hopefully the rest of my life…
Though, even I knew I wasn’t lucky enough for that to happen.
On the other hand, my watch was almost complete.
My childhood dream of having an Omnitrix was almost within my grasp.
Unfortunately, making the Dimensional-Crystalline Signature Storing feature (where I scan the Shard and theoretically can then turn into a peak version of that Shard) was proving to be very difficult.
Primarily because I had to make almost everything myself.
Though, this confirmed it. That my Power was not a Shard-based one as there was no way that it would give me information about Shards.
I recall that Scion had restricted all Shards from giving this type of information to their hosts.
Anyways.
While that was on hold right now, the DNA Scanning feature was complete.
As was the DNA Changer feature.
This was big because I had also programmed it with the mind that it could also be used to complete and/or cure any genetic problem that a scanned being had. (This is where the “Peak” feature of Omnitrix came from. Where the Alien scanned is improved to the peak of their species).
For reference, Ben used this feature to cure the genetic problems of Hybrids in the finale of Alien Force.
But rather than using this on others… I wanted to use it on myself.
A gang war was about to erupt in the city, because a certain someone caught the big bad dragon, and now his crazy underling bitch was about to bomb half the city.
Not that I was blaming anyone, Lung deserved what he got but now he was going to escape because of the distraction provided by Bakuda.
I needed all the strength I could need to survive through these events.
Leviathan was coming in less than a month, and despite my vigorous exercise I still wasn't in the right physical condition to fight him.
And since I hadn't solved the answer to infinite energy yet, my transformations could only last for about 30 minutes before I was forced to change back due to low battery.
And I was a vulnerable squishy human once again.
How could I even contend with him (or any other Cape) if I couldn't even run a lap without puffing and huffing?
So even though I was risking getting unmasked (not that I was a cape anyway, Parahuman yes! Cape no!) I just hoped wearing baggy clothes would hide the changes.
If not, then…
Well, I supported the New Wave movement anyway? Atleast I did when I was a reader...
Not like Old Greg had much in terms of friends or family. His only living relative was his old Grandma who hadn't talked with him in years. And not for the lack of trying on his part.
Becoming a Peak Human would go a long way to keeping me alive in the fight to come.
So… wish me luck I guess?

I took a deep breath; on a table besides me were a bunch of different types of food. From meat to milk, to vegetables and eggs.
Because I was going to be very hungry afterwards.
I sighed. “Let's get this started.” I looked down at the inconspicuous looking but unique watch on my wrist.
It was slim, very similar in design to the Alien Force Omnitrix, made of an unnamed metal that was practically indestructible. But rather than the green of the original one, it was mostly in blacks and greys similar to the OG Omnitrix.
It had a very familiar glowing black and green symbol prominently displayed on the top, with a metallic white dial to operate it with.
One could say that it was a blend of both versions of Omnitrix.
This was my Omnitrix. It was amateurish. It was barely functioning. And it was incomplete.
But it was mine.
I couldn't help but have a giddy smile as it jumped upon my wrists and for all intent and purposes, became a part of it.
“Now I have become death, the destroyer of worlds.” I muttered before snorting. “Yeah right.”
But this was enough for now, I would upgrade it later, and I started the process. “Access Code: Omega-Evolution.”
“Access Code Accepted. Password Required.” Came a neutral robotic voice from the device on my wrist. This was just a VI I had designed to make it easier to operate, and not an AI.
God knows that there are so many ways for that to go wrong.
“One-Who-Is-Ten.” I said neutrally. It was the best I could come up with. I wasn't good with names after all.
“Password Accepted.” Omnitrix beeped as a yellow circle appeared on the green of the Omnitrix symbol. “Scanning Mode Activated. Scanning Underway. Scan Successful.” It beeped again. “Start Genetic Restructuring?”
My heart beat like drums in my chest. No going back after this.
“Yes.” I said…
And I knew no more.
…
I could feel it.
The change.
My ribs expanding.
My muscles tearing up and getting rebuilt, stronger.
My brain getting a boost of new brain cells.
My age old injuries, getting healed just right.
My bones elongating and becoming stronger, denser.
All my organs getting rebuilt for peak performance.
-and suddenly, just as quickly as it begun, it was over.
I was kneeling just where I was standing previously. Steam rising from my body as I took long deep breaths.
“That…” I chuckled, voice being much deeper than before. “That was an experience.”
As I stood up, my head spun but I managed to orient myself. “Still a bit dizzy.”
“Woah.” I whistled as I saw my new physique. “Damn I look good.”
Standing in the place where my once-chubby teen version stood was now a person that could for all intent and purposes be called the world's most handsome man.
And that was not my bias speaking.
I was now at least 6 feet tall- maybe a few inches taller. With well built and rock hard muscles the size of a person's head and legs that wouldn't look out of place on a horse. My back muscles rippled as I struck a pose. My short blonde hair was shiny but still fuzzy enough that it just fit. My skin, once plagued with acne was now smooth and perfect.
But the most eye-conic feature was my golden eyes that were once dull brown.
“This is sweet.” I said appreciatively. Sure, this might mean that I was practically Unmasked now as soon as I went back to school (or freaking outside) but this would go a long way to making sure that I stayed alive.
Sure, I couldn't dodge a bullet or something. Not could I do martial arts. But I could run away.
And that was the most useful skill.
Rumble!
“Heh! I must be hungry huh!” I laughed as I sat down to eat. This upgrade had also gave myself some level of assurance that I was on the right track.
That everything would work out.
RUMBLE!
Life chose that exact moment to remind me that it was very petty and loved fucking with me at every turn.
Why? Because as soon as I had taken just a bite of the delicious looking hamburger, the floor collapsed beneath my feet-
“Huh?-” I tilted my head in confusion.
BOOOM!
