There are obviously quite a number of Dalek episodes. This is probably in my top three. Re: The Doctor talking about going to Skaro and encountering The Daleks. There has actually been a remastered and colourised version of that very first Dalek story produced quite recently. That 'could' be a fascinating pit stop along our journey. But as it is a slightly edited down version made into a feature length episode. It could be argued that seeing that version before the original black and white serial story, would be not a popular move amongst passionate Whovians. The Very first Classic Who Dalek story you watched during series 4. Although was about their 'genesis' it was by far not the first broadcast story.
