MEGA Storage Mod
🕑 Added 2021-05-01 03:32:17 +0000 UTCEven with having unlimited space in our pockets, sometimes we want to put things away and sort them. Sadly, there are only a few storage container options in-game.
The “Mega Storage Mod” aims to fix this by making a bunch of decor objects into functional storage!
All of the items in this download are EA Overrides. This means they cannot be used with any other mods that alter the same files.
SCCO Compatible
For those that use “Srsly’s Complete Cooking Overhaul,” you will find unique interactions on most storage items. If you do not use SCCO you will not find these interactions and will only be able to use the items as normal storage.
There are two new interactions you will find on all the below storage types.
- “Put Away” – Will take all items from a sim’s inventory of that type and put them in storage.
- “Take” – Will take all items from storage and put them in a sim’s inventory.
Such as:
- Bread – Buy Cookbooks, put/take away groceries
- Condiments & Preserves – put/take away condiments preserves
- Cooked Food – put/take away cooked foods
- Drink Bottles – put/take away bottled drinks
- Flour & Sugar – put/take away flour and sugar
- Flowers & Seeds – put/take away flowers and seeds
- Fruit – put/take away fruits.
- All Grocery – put/take away all EA and SCCO grocery items
- Milk & Dairy – put/take away all dairy products
- Produce – Buy produce, put/take away all herbs, veggies, and fruits.
- Herbs & Spices – put/take away all herbs and spices
- Tea & Coffee – put/take away all tea and coffee
- Nameable – no interactions
- Hutches – no interactions
- Pot Racks – put/take away all EA and SCCO grocery items

How to Install
1. Download and install the items you want, there are pick and choose files and a merged file. If you want everything download the merged file.
2. Download and install the "SrslySims_MEGAStorageMod-MAINMOD" this package file is required for any other files to work. So you need this file + the storage items of your choosing. NOTE: If you used the merged file, you do not need the "Main Mod" file too.
NOTE: If you use SCCO, version 3.5.0 and higher will have the interactions to take/put away grocery items and purchase menus. If you do not use SCCO these items will only function as storage.

Also, the Heritage Flour Tin doesn't allow storage, it only has the option to View.
All the other pictures after the title picture with the numbers on - they used to have a list of what they were called to find them/pick the items we want because like the breadbox is also used in icemunmuns food objects so im guessing the override warning means they are incompatible together. Too much going on in the images to recognise every item as it ticks by so i cant remember if there are other items that are used elsewhere too. where it says find a full list of item names and pack requirments - the item names are gone now though

I'm not sure what you mean. They can be stored anywhere. It just is by EA default that they cannot be used in cooking unless they are in the fridge or som inventory. Otherwise you can store them anywhere you want.

Do you have a list (with pictures maybe) of all the items where you can store things? There used to be a list, but now I can't find it. LIke which items flour can be stored in? Thank you for your help.

Holy Cow! This is an amazing effort! At first, I wasn't going to dl b/c I'm not really MM. But AFTER reading, the functionality of this mod is just PERFECT for my gameplay😵 You are phenomenal 🙌🏾 Thank you for sharing!!!

Would you be able to change the autonomy settings? Because my sims autonomously put books etc in the hutches and it makes it hard to find everything they randomly put away. I love the storage functionality and really want to use this mod.

You can either pick and choose the items you want via the zip+main mod or get them all with the merged. No LMS mod shouldn't cause an issue, I use it too. Let me look into this and get back to you about it. I didn't have this issue during my test run before uploading but stuff happens. If you need further help feel free to DM me here or come by the discord. Will reply to this message too when I grt a chance to take a look.

I love all of these!!! I have two questions. . . . I downloaded just the pick and choose zip, do i have to download the other one as well which leads into my second question/issue. . . I cannot get my preserves to go into any storage... if i have my sim put away the preserves into the preserve storage it goes into my household inventory. . . Could there be a mod conflict. . (Do i have to remove the part from SCCO about shared storages?) I also have a transfer inventory mod by littlemssam could that be causing issues?

I actually have a mod already for the ROM hutches! They are storage too, and have the ability to buy witchy ingredients from them. They are here on my Patreon and on srslysims.net ;)

As soon as I saw a section for just hutches, I was ready! Would it be possible to add storage to the Realm of Magic hutches/cabinets? They're just giant pieces of aesthetic currently, I always thought they had so much potential for spellcaster storage.

I am looking into making a new storage type so ingredients can be used directly from the inventories. Currently EA has it so only fridge (so food storage) has this ability along with Sim inventory. I will also look into the flour tin, since it was working in my game before posting. Keep an eye out for updates. I will be fixing that and eventually updating the storage type. :) for now you can use the put/take interactions to grab things quickly to cook with by putting them in your Sim's inventory with scco.

These are just incredible. You have made one of my sim dreams come true. I hated having to put everything into the fridges! I have been using some of Coolspears storage, but this is a whole new level!

That's awesome thank you! By the way the Heritage Flour Tin doesn't seem to be working for me. I cannot open or add the flour and sugar to it I only have the option to view it. Also if I have ingredients in the storage containers when I go to cook a recipe it shows as missing that ingredient for example I put the bread in the bread box and wanted to make a sandwich it shoes I have no bread. Not sure if that's supposed to be how it works.
