Channel update
🕑 Added 2020-06-28 14:29:47 +0000 UTCThe goal for Yakuza 0 has been crossed, uncrossed, and crossed again. Naturally 5 has to happen first and that is the BIGGEST entry in the franchise. That's a positive and a negative. Yakuza isn't what IS next however, there's one more stopoff before we get there.
What is likely next is YIIK, promised months and months ago. Revisiting my writing from back when I still agree with my core argument, I think I've got a unique take on its story backed up by the text. Issue I come off as way too much of a cunt so I'm rewriting what is there to make it a bit more of an even keel and approach it on fairer ground.
After Running Shine's excellent video covering YIIK is intimidating, but our opinions and approaches differ. Another issue is they keep promising to release a combat overhaul, but this update was promised in January and since then there has been radio silence! It's like we're in a weird game of update chicken.
And there is XCOMMANDERLESS, I wanted to do a playthrough of it (we've recorded one!) it's a heavy load editing wise and I'm unsure where to put it and what to do with it. I don't want people to worry my channel is pivoting away from Playing when that is not the plan.
Besides that, here's a few games that are on my mind and I sort of want to cover, these aren't gurantees, just ones I've been thinking about lately:
- We, The Revolution
- 7.62 (probably Hard Life)
- Hidden Invasion
My workstyle has always been weird and spontaneuous. I don't plan well, I have more fun and get more engaged just throwing myself into something and tackling the challenge of covering whatever game I've wound up with.
I also want to thank Patrons for their patience, I know how atypical my length between uploads is for youtubers and while it's probably down to laziness, I hope it's somewhat down to quality as well.

Man how did you guys get through xcommanderless? My group got wiped 2 missions in a row and now nobody wants to play again. It was a shame too since its such a fun way to play.

High Caliber/Hard Life definitely deserves the attention. It's Jagged Alliance 2 with 5 times the ambition and like a 5th of the QA testers.
