September 2022 Shield Challenge

I ended up with 28 Item cards in all ... some are variations on a theme, some are 2 states of the same shield. So, basically 24 different shapes ... Not quite one for every day of the month of September, but close!
It was a good spontaneous break-out from drawing maps and I learnt a great deal about shading and painting different surfaces along the way. It seems like a great way to begin a slightly more creative-chaotic cartographic era
It also kinda added into the name melting pot for the new single tier "Defenders of Chaos" ...
Chaos being a reference to the magic system created by L. E. Modesitt Jr. for his 'Saga of Recluse' ... where Chaos is the part of magic that creates change and growth, and without it there is no life or movement or change.
For you all, I hope that you find a few interesting ones in the collection that you can sneak into your games in different ways ... I would love to hear what you do with them and what abilities you give them. I have not written out descriptions or stats for them - So let your imagination go wild :-)

- Plus transparent .png versions (18 & 19 are in 2 parts each. Energy field layer will need to be made transparent or used in some sort of overlay mode)
