So glad I'm not the only one. I feel like everyone writes that they were so relieved when they got Diagnosed. I wasn't. Maybe in the moment I was happy I wasn't just lazy - but after that - painful
I don't think anyone ever realizes that this is part of getting diagnosed as an adult. You have to let go of who you thought you were going to be and a fuck ton of internalized shame. It's really hard.
