Hey everyone. As usual there's been a long silence since my last upload, but I've been busy working on my latest piece. I'm a little reluctant to give release estimates, but I think it will be out in less than a week. It's going to be on the shorter end (around 22 minutes) and will be about issues relating to contemporary American politics and the presidency.
The subject matter doesn't exactly make itself and is quite sensitive to just about everyone these days, so I'm taking my time researching, thinking, and crafting it. But it's just about done.

This is a brilliant video. So often I hear takes that ascribe malicious intent or claim some kind of conspiratorial orchestration. I appreciate that your explanation in this video is rooted in the idea that humans act in self-interest and that problems arise moreso out of misaligned incentives and unintended consequences rather than outright maliciousness or incompetence. I think that idea is much more grounded in reality, and it gives people the benefit-of-the-doubt, leaving room for civil discussion and common ground.

After I published it I was hit with a copyright claim that demonetized it, and also became aware that I said the wrong name in one of the sentences of the piece (George McGovern instead of Hubert Humphrey at 09:11). It's about to go live again with the problems fixed.

Your thoughtfulness with your videos makes the gaps between them well worth the wait. I do get a little anxious at times that the long gaps mean you have given up on your channel so your assurances that content is coming is very appreciated.
