There was a few reasons I chose this day. Firstly it was so that if I hated it no one would have to know, I could just wear a hat. Second is because I don't like attention, especially the attention around a dramatic change such as shaving all my hair off.
I wanted to do it for me.
I wanted to soak it all in, acknowledge what I had done. Yes, it's just hair but our hair is somewhat our identity. Our hair can change the way we look, it can take you from looking glamorous grunge.
I find myself catching a glance in every mirror I walk past and I consider the thoughts of people when I catch their stare. What the fuck have I done? But then I realise, it's just God damn hair.
