It feels like freedom
🕑 Added 2022-08-03 22:18:38 +0000 UTCFreedom. It's a pretty loaded word right? Yet it's something we all grave and the lucky few of us may actually feel. It may be for a moment or for an entire day. But for life? We can only dream.
But what does it even mean to be free?
For me, it's living in the moment. In the here and now. Sitting in the passenger seat, window down. My wild, untamed hair tangled across my face. Road trips, it feels like freedom. A road trip means adventure, somewhere new, somewhere that makes me feel alive as if I've been transported to another land. It makes me forget, just for a moment.
I leave behind the constant tension riddled through my body and I feel as though I can breath. A smile creeps over my face and I find myself laughing. Laughing without the worry and fear of being seen.
The roaring of the engine sends me off into a daydream. My thoughts taken away within the blur of the trees that pass by. My mind wanders, but then something will catch my eye and suddenly I'm back, back in the present moment. I feel so fucking free.
How would you describe the feeling of freedom?

It was such an incredible spot to explore! I've been so isolated this winter but I am so bloody keen to get exploring again!!
