A free spirit that doesn't know how to be free
🕑 Added 2022-09-13 12:31:16 +0000 UTCI stumbled across this video recently, it was taken on November 1st 2017. I was lost, confused and in an unhealthy relationship. I was a free spirit who didn't know how to be free, trapped within the restraints of my own mind.
I was dependent on my romantic relationship with nothing to my name, I was like a lost child unable to think for myself. I was at the mercy of my provider.
Each day, with the little energy I had left I would roll out my yoga mat and and find peace within the fluid feeling of moving my body around the room. I longed for freedom but it wouldn't be for another 2 years that I would relaise it would not be found within these 4 walls.
Looking back on this, although it brings me sadness to see I am also so proud of the girl in this video, that she made it through. And here I stand today ❤️
